Maoist Rebels Kill 11 In Attacks In Eastern India

Is this is your advice?

Offtopic: we never used our airforce against our own misleaded countrymen

We actually did but it brought good results in Mizoram. Terrorists surrendered and paved way for a civilized government to lead the state. That's the only thing I admire Indira Gandhi for.

And I dont want any army/navy/air force in those states. The state police and central police as much better at handling these things.

We only see Chinese tank tried to avoid a single person standing in the way of a column of tanks in China, and they rebels do have tanks and even airplane, dont they?do you mean your troops are too mercy to them and refuse to shoot at them and use tanks against them?

Have a chill my friend.
I dnt knw ur intent but they dn't hve..
and for ur information we hvnt deployed defence forces against these maoists...till date..
only paramilitary force i.e CRPF.

i cudn't get that underlined part,,, what do u wnt to say???

Wow this serious and sad news. Some people focused too much on the problems of others and forget the problems their own country is facing.

Maoists are evolving into a more visible and more potent threat for india , thats for sure

Sad news, RIP to the dead. These Maoist should be considered as terrorist and the government should ask the IA to take care of these b**tards there is no reason to let these guys live or have peace talks with them, many innocent lives have already been lost there is no point in negotiating with them. The only way that we are going to improve the NE and Eastern part of the country is if we get rid of these terrorists.

This is the crux of the matter.

You have to appreciate the level of success of the Maoists, not long ago they took out 70 Indian troops.

CRPF is not a part of the IA.

Not quite they are declining with the death or capturing of their important leader and the people learning that they are not the robin hood of the poor people. The leaders cry for the help for poor while they live in luxury and even when the government try to provide help and development they destroy it.

it'll just result in a troll-fest..

I'm sure some member are already finding articles on this by now.

The IAF was asked to carry the troops in Mi-4 helicopters into the besieged AR camp, accompanied with fighter escorts but failed due to heavy and accurate fire by the insurgents. The Toofani fighters of 29 Squadron operating from Kumbhirgram and Hunter fighters of 17 Squadron operating from Jorhat undertook independent missions to escort the troop reinforcements and to suppress the insurgents.[1] Later, when the Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen SHFJ Manekshaw, MC overflew parts of Mizoram in 1968, his helicopter was fired at by the insurgents.[7]

On the afternoon of 4 March 1966, the IAF jet fighters strafed the MNF targets in Aizawl using machine guns, allegedly causing few civilian casualties.[5][8] The next day, a more extensive airstrike was carried out for about five hours. According to some Mizos, the planes used incendiary bombs, resulting in fires that destroying several houses in the Dawrpui and Chhinga Veng areas. According to some other accounts, the houses were destroyed in the fires started by the prisoners released from the Aizawl jail by the insurgents.[5] Apart from Aizawl, the neighbouring villages of Tualbung and Hnahlan were also allegedly bombarded. No human casualties were officially reported in these airstrikes, but most of the civilian population fled Aizawl, and took refuge in the remote villages in the adjacent hills.

The Air Strikes were just a retaliation to the fire made by the insurgents on the air logistics and the escort fighters. Also It was just a scaring tactic as can be affirmed that not a single casualty was there.
