What's new

Many fatalities as Amtrak train derails, falls onto I-5 near Tacoma

It's a little early for conclusions but this seems to have been a problem not with infrastructure but human error: stupidity on the part of the engineer and his management. We'll see, the feds are good at this sort of investigation.
many of your airport infrustractures are old and outdated,i am sure about it....

.
This is a sad event, rip. Why is train derailment so common in the usa? Can't you guys afford to maintain you rail infras there properly?

.
RIP to the victims, it's not too late for america to humbly ask kind China to fix their infrastructures.

.
Read through the news, it doesn't mention the manufacturer of the derailed train.
if the train is made in China, it must mention at the right beginning, and China is to be blamed.
So the train must not manufacture in China.

.
How many accidents this super power US happens every year? It seems that US is competing with india for the champion of railway casualties, and I will root for US. Yes, you can, US of A**.

.
RIP. USA should invite China to help upgrade its backward railway system, permit Chinese firm to open factory and hire locals, this can benefit both sides.

LOL! That's because we have had airports for over 100 years (we have over 5000...15,000 when including private airports). In fact we introduced the bicycle to China AFTER we already had airports AND cars!! Since nobody wanted to use bicycles here anymore we marketed it to you guys. You were very easily impressed with that amazing tech and biked around by in the millions...meanwhile we were snickering about seeing pictures of you guys proudly showing them off while we were driving cars in the millions and flying in planes.

Call us when you hit the 5000 mark...

oh and call us when that new infrastructure of yours delivers drinkable water out of the tap...just something else we have had for over 100 years...apparently you haven’t figured out how to do it yet. Of course when you finally do you’ll be saying our infrastructure is old.

I know I know.. None of my business.. But not even worth taking the bait with the stealth trollers

Several threads on this subject have been made and participated in by some of the "usual PDF suspects" who come in and give faux sympathy, but then quickly get in their own passive aggressive digs at the U.S.

Which of course was most likely their goal in the first place.

according to the bbc is was doing 80mph when in fact it should be doing 30mph
that means its highly probable that its driver error that resulted in this incident

American infra is now worse than Sub-Sahara Africa.....
Even indian trains are safer.....

What's up with train crashes on bridges?? This is like deja vu

Let's hope it doesn't match the 40+ people killed in this one on a bridge in China. 40 people is something you should only see in ridiculous Hollywood disaster movies.
Dare to show accident in 2017??
Mericanos are obsessed with history.

@Adam WANG SHANGHAI MEGA avoid use of large, bold or unnecessary size of font for normal discussion. You can still make your point in simple draft, default font style/colour/size.
