Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee appealed to the Centre to halt anti-Maoist operations in the state, alleging that the ruling CPI(M) was “conducting its own operation” in its garb.

“I urge the Centre to stop the joint-operations because in its name, the CPI(M) is conducting its own operations. I will meet Prime Minister Mammohan Singh and appeal to him. He is a good man. I believe he will listen,” Ms. Banerjee told a rally here.

The rally was held to mark ‘Martyrs Day’ to commemorate the 13 Youth Congress workers killed in police firing on this day in 1993. Ms. Banerjee was the Youth Congress president at the time.

Atrocities were being committed on tribals in the name of joint-operations at the behest of the CPI(M), she alleged.

The CPI(M) was supplying arms to party cadres in the name of joint-operations and setting up camps in Lalgarh and Salboni to terrorise people, Ms. Banerjee claimed.

Dont worry , if she barks any more , then she will be kicked out of the govt , Both Manmohan and Chidambaram understand that country is more important than state elections , so it is unlikely that anti maoist Operations will stop in west bengal , infact u can expect them to intensify once election is over ,
Home minister has already shown his displeasure with Mamta Banergi , u can expect her to be given the boot and Mulayam to join the govt , after any further such comments

there were already clashes between Communist party and maoists..if CRPF stops action against them more attack will be commited by the maoists and she can blame state government for that..and due to continuous attack people loose faith in the government and vote for her..she is cunning..she already once told central government to criticise state government instead of maoists so that people start to hate state government..

This lady wont just stop, She will go and approach MMS to stop it and she come back and hand over arms to maoists to blow up trains, while she puts the blame on WB shief minister...

No wonder she wanted to hold the railway ministry and doesnt want to resign.
Its only her who is giving maoists clues on how to blow trains...

Sick lady
