But that it's Bangladeshis specifically is what is curious. True BDs will do the most menial jobs out there but it would suggest a political motivation is behind the decision. We have already seen voting shenanigans in the past. Why not extend the same call to Indians for example?

The biggest cause for brain drain is lack of opportunities, and in Malaysia again merit taking secondary importance to race. Malaysia is interested in importing unskilled labour from Bangladesh for its booming construction industry and Palm oil plantations. They had an agreement with the Bangladesh government but apparently were only able to provide 7,000 of them. Further because of terrible working conditions at Palm oil plantations, most of Bangladeshi workers call its quits.

White men are on top of the marriage chart and black girls are at the bottom. South asians find white people desirable, but Indians are closed minded about marriage(caste/community/wish of parents etc), so they lose out.
However, If you go outside your community, you better get a white person. ha ha.

Regarding doing a deal, govt of India does not do such deals, at least not that I know of. We got millions in ME doing low end labour jobs, people find ways to get there. Govt gives assistance when they need it, thats all.

Not just the professional elite but also small and medium business enterprise. Because of affirmative action policies in place, any company interested in acquiring government contracts must be at least 45% Malay owned, as a result lots of companies hire Malays on boards of directors. You will see such individuals to be on several boards and companies pays them huge salaries so they can apply for government contracts, where the real money is.
You will see a huge difference between workings of a Chinese owned organization and Malay one, but overall service industry is really pathetic in Malaysia.

Again you're grossly misinformed here. The people in question are not Bangladeshi professionals but the labour workers, and there are very real chances of backlash against Bangladeshi workers here. The term Bangla is already used as a negative connotation. Don't believe me just go through any social media or better, news portal and read the comments after Rohingya boat crisis.

Bangladeshi professionals dont usually take job in middile income countries rather go to west if possible.Companies back home pay relatively good. If you want professional then you have to hire from India. Bangladesh only interested to export excess labor from the agricultural sector.

what? Why? They should get legal bangladeshis from bangladesh using proper process. It will make sure people dont go through horrible journey. All of them will be accounted for, govt will know who is going there.
This will mean all those smugglers will not be able to operate, because legal bangladeshis will flood the market, nobody will pay smugglers.
