Well for Indian We respect Sikhism because it is Indic religion. Based upon Indic value system. Similarly buddhism and jainism too. Guru nanak jee and Gautam buddha etc preach values that are Indic. So they are most equally adored and respected by any Indian. Also I respect Ahmediyya Islam because even that is based upon Indic roots, an Indian muslim prophet. Even after having your very own punjabi muslim prophet you people look toward arab and discredit adherants of local brand of islam.

Any Indian religion preaches one and the same Indic value system. You pakistanis have been in cultural imperialism of saudi arabia for ever. And that is why it makes me laugh when you claim rights over punjabi culture. A quick Fix- India has a Quasi-federal type of governance. Both Central and State have the power to Make/Amend laws. The areas are defined under the Lists.

Part 11 of Indian Constitution defines the Power distribution between Center and State. The powers are divided into 3 Lists- Union List , State List and Concurrent List..

You didn't understand what I was trying to say. My point is, there are certain state level laws, that are only applicable to those states, & then there are national laws. India the nation is a secular nation as per the Indian constitution, & the states cannot change that.
