You are right. I also am a firm believer that unless our economy gets in a shape we cannot wish for massive power projection. But having said that, there are things which any nation do for its survival. What I have purposed can be accomplished with local currency without involving foreign exchange. It will certainly increase our internal debt but if we look around, there are 100s of such schemes and projects are being run which are nothing less than white elephants like this Benazir Income Support Program. Giving Rs. 1000/- per month is not going to get people out of poverty but still govts. have been running it since ages. Similarly, there are plenty of ministries which practically have no work and can be merged to save money, but due to political reasons they are there and billions go to their expanses every year. So, spending 100-200 billion more on defense using all local raw materials is not going to cost much. Not having basis when time arrives, is going to hurt us real bad.

Agreed, but we need to get out of the US spectrum. Until we relinquish our Nuclear Assets, US will continue to fiddle with our economy as they have always done.

Agreed, Gilgit can be upgraded as a back up for Skardu. Can also become a main stay for supplies,elint and early Warning aircrafts for operations in the Northern areas!


The Indians have been panicking for a few months now . Its more likely that the JF17s will be deployed in Skardu.

Gilgit airport air strip is very small. Plus airport area is also small to store any weapons and fuel

Yes or may be just outside gilgit ... there r good areas a little away from gilgit

I cannot reveal sources but it is 200% authentic.

Some Indian accounts do fear that PAF, in the next war, will specifically target locations along winding roads in Kashmir, which will surely cause huge land slides.....which can take days and weeks to clear.....result....Indian forward troops cut off from from all reinforcements.....

This expansion is Caci Alina upgrade for tourism and nothing to do with paf , paf already has its runway and setup there is also older smaller runway used initially by caa and airlines perhaps now a third one is being built

the older runway is shorter and perhaps good for atr types

Yes agreed i have noticed that as well. But on the other hand we do have special relationship with China,which those African countries do not have. Historically China has been far more kinder to us than uncle SAM, and that also string free.

Yes this F16 took off from Kamra, brand new F16 shiny as hell PAF pilots were super confident with this machine and started to get aggressive against Soviets since the Mirage didnt hold up well

When that F16 landed back at Kamra the anti-aircraft guns on base lite up the the night sky, later on it emerged that it was a celebration of the downing many people remember that time the stories have passed on
