This might be a preparation for any failure in adopting the new deal (if doesn't get approved by the U.S Congress). The chance of the Congress' approval is high though. Iranians may take a reactionary stand against their government if the deal doesn't go through. Hence, the IRGC is preparing the Basijis for wiping out any possible opposition (as the one in 2009).

FYI, the possibility of rejection by Iranian Parliament is more than the American congress.

BAsij is lovely for those who are proud of their soldiers and their land... and a nightmare for those who betray or about to betray the mother land and its values... to me, Basijis are the first force to go against invaders if there is any wars... They have donkey-head behavior internally but I can ignore their local arrogance for their use as a shield against chaos and invasion...

You must understand these are 2 compete different entity with complete different duties . and honestly your post clearly shows how you misunderstand the basij.

@haman10 you understand that the military and intelligence part of basij is its smallest section and at must is consisted of 100000 to 150000 people the rest is agriculture, construction, medical and .... Branch of basij.

Glad you said "enough said" because anything more you would have added would have exposed your ignorance even more.

The equivalent of Savak in today's Iran is VAJA (Vezarat-e Ettela'at Jomhuri-ye Eslami-ye Iran), SAVAK was (Sāzemān-e Ettelā'āt va Amniyat-e Keshvar) . Noth that both have "Ettela'at" in it, and since its the same word used in Arab countries, you shouldn't find it difficult to notice the connection.

Iranian parliament aka Tavileh(stable) has no power. As Tavileh members, and speaker said before, duty of Tavilej is to confirm what the leader says.

Basij started out as a volunteer force against Saddam's army. Today it's become a joke organization designed to keep people in check (think 2009 uprising). The same people that you see in these pictures stand on street corners and harass young women or they go around parks and look for couples. Basically they're a group of unprofessional thugs filled with nothing but hate. They hate everything even remotely modern. The same group of people attacked the British embassy a while back.

Many of major IRI leaders and their family members were members/supporters of MKO. If you don't know it, you are simply uneducated.

No, there are 2000000 billion basijis, yet Iran lacks forces to send to Syria, and pays afghans to fight in Syria. Then, just send 1% of this 2000000 trilion basijis to Syria and finish Syrian civil war in a day.

Talking and claiming without proofs, is easy. In reality, SAA had 3 times armored vehicles, and Tanks compared to AJA, and IRGC combined, and its air force was in the same order as IRIAF. Syrian officers also trained many of IRGC officers. But, they failed miserably. If Syrian civil war can be easily finished by basij in 3 months, why Iran does not do that like how Saudis sent their forces to Yemen?
Basij is just a chaghou kesh thug force for scaring local Iranians, but they are even useless against local Iranians in huge internal movements(Like how in 2009, IRI brought Hezballah mercanaries and Syrians in Iran to oppress demonstrators, after basijis failed in many cases), let alone against foreigners.
Of course, sane Iranians(and even some of IRI supporters) have no respect for basij thug forces.
