I have been calling my congressman to look into the human rights abuses and killing of Baloch Activists.
Yes, ask them to cut aid to Pakistan ... oh wait, they are already doing that, how many things can the threaten to 'cut the same aid' over?

BTW, also ask him to look into the massacres of non-Baluch settlers and both Baluch and non-Baluch teachers, principals, educators etc. by the Baluch terrorist groups - surely you and your congressman consider the killings of 'non-combatants' 'terrorism' don't you?

And if you do consider the killings of noncombatants, deliberately by Baluch rebel groups, terrorism, please ask if the Baluch groups have been officially declared 'terrorist entities' by the State Department, and why Brahamdegh Bugti and his fellow terrorists were sheltered in Kabul by the Afghans and US?

Or is that too many uncomfortable questions for your congressman and you?

sad news.

The Jehlum thing was also very very poorly planned, which resulted in 70 bullets being put through the JCO's body.

Lets hope some accountability does happen.

14 dead. Has to be an ambush. The guys knew that they were coming. Surprise element I guess.

Those suckers have support of settelites and hitech communication systems.

Wonder why arent any political parties are making any effort to bring these people on the table ... !!?

There are no people other than known terrorists.

oh my god, what a terrible loss.

R.I.P To soldiers !!

Are these Baloch rebels Still active ? Last i heard was Insurgency In Balochistan was Reduced to Lot of extent

Yea
They come and go and date back to the times of Raj.
Different tribes have had different reasons to pick up arms against the government of time. Sometimes to protest against the preferential treatment of rival tribe, to get attention or extort money or for the sake of the rights or just for the hell of it.

When we have inter tribe fights then we don’t just fight with light weapons we employ rocket launchers, mortars and 30 mm cannons too. You guys might have no clue how some of my fellow Baloch settle their scores.
The current fighting has managed to keep its steam due to the rise of media, the interest of the foreign powers specially overt help by Americans of Jundullah against Iran (my enemy’s enemy is my friend rule) and they operate here too and share their hatred for Hazara shia like the Al Qaeda or Lashker Jhagvi does.

Bramdagh Bughti has got a lot of attention and importance and has even won asylum in Europe curtsy of CIA all expenses paid. That is something that our late leader Akbar Bughti never ever got despite his stature and over 60 year of political career. Despite remaining chief minister and governor of Balochistan he later was convinced by Marri that there was more power and money to be made by abducting and harassing the national and foreign companies. He paid the price of his life out of his arrogance and not leaving Balochistan, had he been a bit smarter he would have got a lot of willing hosts in Afghanistan that would have given him a passport to travel and help fund and support his erm “freedom” struggle.

During my college days (late 80s) I have also been the part of this Baloch anger and after boycotting our classes went out with a crowd and targeted a UNDP office and beat up the driver of one of the new donated vehicles and smashed the windscreens of the 2 vans. After receiving a flurry of slaps, spits, kicks and punches the driver was able to say that he was not a “Punjabi” but a Maghsi Baloch. What can you do y these pesky Punjabis look like us. So he was left alone to wipe the blood, sliva and dirt off his bruised face and half torn shalwar Kamiz while one of the students decided to keep his cap as a war booty and we went on until the police came and we dispersed.

For those who are interested I must say that was the height of my political/ violent (its essential part of student politics) career I later found out that my noble Baloch sardars were as good or bad as my much despised Punjabi or Sindhi brothers.
Must say that we don’t have much say about Pashtons because they are about 50% in Balochistan so better to keep one enemy at a time.

Any other questions?

The ambush wasn't as it's generally perceived, more so a surprise attack on the unsuspecting guards.

Fourteen Pakistani troops killed in rebel ambush: military | Pakistan | DAWN.COM

too bad, a guard should be ready for anything. specially in that place where one needs an escort to go to local shops even while in uniform.

a militant will never announce his attack. guards should suspect every thing while on duty.

Bloody zardari striked back, this also clearly hints at bharti and zardari connection.
The anti-Pakistan evil nexus in Baluchistan is an open secret and Pakistan need to get rid of the patrons of evil of this terrorists.

not necessarily, these chaps can do that with or without foreign help. yes Free and greater Balochistan that forms some parts of Iran too is a brain Child of NeoCons too but they are not directly running the show at tactical level.

Indeed, but all the casualties weren't suffered in the surprise attack, the initial assault yesterday cost five lives, the subsequent losses i understand, occurred during the overnight fire fight.

who kidnaps the bloch nationalists and for what reason bullet ridden, mutilated bodies keep appearing in ditches, canals every now and then ....???
those having interests of instability of Balochistan and pakistan........

No reinforcements?

May Allah accept their shahdats, ameen.

Pakistan can't be hostage to Baloch likes and dislikes. Land wise, it is one-third of Pakistan but no one can move there or set up business there. Population wise, Balochs are less than 15% of total population of Pakistan.

People blamed Gen Musharraf for his heavy hand but I believe that was the right approach. Pakistan govt. has made several attempts to make peace with the insurgents and Pakistan army has tried its best to support govt. efforts. Besides the govt, people like Imran Khan have also reached out, however, the result is negative.

Military option is a MUST!!

For those in US who opppose such approach must first resolve their own issues and then advise Pakistanis about the issues of Pakistan. I would also recommend these 'friends' to watch 'How the West Was Won'.

It is our turn to win our 'West'!!!!!
