Majali invited to Qatar to sign security cooperation deal

Petra | Apr 28, 2013 | 22:54
AMMAN — Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Sunday underlined the importance of the Jordanian-Qatari partnership and the need to build on it to serve the best interests of the two peoples.

During a meeting with Qatari Ambassador to Jordan Zayed Bin Saeed Rashid Al Khayarin, Majali discussed regional developments, particularly the Syrian crisis and its humanitarian and political repercussions on the region.

Discussions also covered services Jordan provides for Syrian refugees, whose number has exceeded half-a-million.

The diplomat presented Majali with an invitation to visit Qatar from the Qatari interior minister to sign a security cooperation agreement between the two countries’ governments, in addition to discussing issues of mutual concern.

Glad to see Qatar getting closer to Jordan, the next step will definitely be joining the GCC.

I doubt Jordan would get closer to Qatar ruled by that fat jerk. It's weird that there is a cooperation despite the cold relations.

BTW, what kind of security cooperation is it?
