Well the books a hadith is vital , because Muslims living in different times , we don't have luxury of living in same time period as the Prophet

Hadiths are a way to time travel in past , to relieve situations which arose during Prophet's time and see what was stated or discussed

The hadiths's capture various social issues , and various interesting topics of that time and most of time are reported by most credible of all Muslims who lived beside the Prophet and who saw him first hand

They capture the spirit of the early age Muslims and the vitality and mindset how they strived to mold their lives based on what they heard from Prophet or accounts from his wives

It is a blessing that we in 2019 can open the book and recount events which unfold in every day lives of people of time 1400 years ago

It is also a measuring stick by which we can see how much Muslims have deviated from the early muslims

It seems that while Arab world is under strong control of families rules and kings, and understandably they dont like to talk about on the subject of Mahdi for obvious reasons, the Arab muslim scholars are keep an eye on events around them, and there is someone they got their attention on.

A friend of mine told me that the story of Imam Mahdi and second coming of Christ maybe false. There is no mentioning of Imam Mahdi and second coming of Christ in the Quran. These stories are basically from the Hadith which may be false.

No you 're wrong hadith collection started with in the life of our Prophet, by various SAHABA and BIBIS VARIOUS source that you claimed to be false is getting those Sahi hadiths from VARIOUS SAHABA and TABI And TABIEN which Saw lots of late SAHABA and BIBIS @Maarkhoor

The books were compiled because , unlike the Muslims who lived with Prophet Mohammad who had luxury to go to him and ask questions about every day issues , we in modern times do not have that luxury .....

I trust Prophet's companion 100% and believe they were told they would inhabit heavens for their role in expansion of Early Islam , and I 100% believe in their honesty

If Prophet Mohammad gave his companions the news they would go to heaven , that means their character is not or never be under scrutiny

I don't think for me personally I would ever doubt what they captured from their direct conversation with Prophet , specially the statements pain stakenly verified by 3-4 sources

I am grateful these additional books exist

The information they captured for Modern age muslims is truely a blessing
