‘Madrassas reflect Pakistan’s socio-economic problems’

Sir,

Why is a Turkish Muslim and I know quite a lot of them, very ardent muslims yet they are very secular and open minded. They dont identify themselves with pan-arabia or its policies. Why is that you dont see Turkish muslims fighting Jihad against the infidels.

Actually there is a resurgence of Islamists in Turkey as well and the Islamist party won majority in the last election.

Answer to your question is that until the 18th century, Ottomon Empire was one of the largest in World history. However merely a 100 years later by 1924, it had shrunk to its present borders.

Kamal Attaturk concluded that this was to due to Islam which was the real cause of backwardness of the Turks. He banned reading and writing of Turkish language in old script and introduced Roman script. He banned the wearing of veil, wearing of the Fez cap and even the reading of Quran in Arabic. He abolished Khilafat and officially made Turkey a secular state.

tell me some thing what future waits for people coming out of madrassah.Islamic studies will lead you to what choices up ahead.education opens up your mind and your horizon.

The future that awaits these children taught only islamic studies is simple.
1.Come out of madrassa ,find a job as a mullah
2.Go to some little village/town and start teaching/preaching
3 Mullah needs more money, married with kids.
4 Mullah opens his own masjid in the village/town
5 Need more people to fill the coffer's in the masjid, fiery speech's start and attacks on other groups.
6 Before we know it there are 20 masjids in a little village/town,with 20 azans,20 speech's and 20 mullahs that need you to contribute in building a bigger masjid.
7.You sunni, brahlvi, wahabi, ahmedhi, shia, ect ect are going to hell,i am right, follow me,i know best, are you going to disagree against allah...you kaffir....behead him.

Mushy has been in power for a bit of time now,he is the leader, has he reformed the madrassa system with the same amount of energy as he has in attacking his own people?
One of my uncles in pakistan has nine sons, one of them went to a madrassa and became a quran hafiz, during the period of his studies my uncle made sure he carried on working part time at my cousins garage as a mechanic.
Once he left the madrassa he could not get a job as a teacher in a masjid so instead opened his own garage.
There is a point to this story,if the pak govt does not give funding to these madrassa's to train the people leaving every year in other skills then we will carry on having this problem of large groups of madrassa talibs with no jobs and the call of jihad from the right wingers.
Every human wants the same things bro, job, house, education for kids and healthcare.

choudhry brothers are biggest b.a.s.t.e.r.d.s ever live.Zia introduced and powered these mullahs sectarian violence was promoted during Zia times.grew during nawaz times as they openly supported them.Saudi Arabia saved nawaz i wonder why.ijaz-UL-hag son of a extremist was installed as minister of religion.
atta turk was a true patriotic he actually did some thing for his country.not like most in Pakistan that move from party to a party one day they are ppp second they are Muslim league.pretend to care but in reality they do nothing at all.
when u listen to Pakistani news its all about he said she said never ever there is any action.but now they are out of time only 2 options left clean the house or surrender.

Among all the Ministers in Cabinet, Ijaz ul Haq is most bigoted and ill informed of the lot. What do you expect from son of a bigot father. Fact of the matter is that Ijazul Haq along with the Chaudhry brothers have a soft corner for the Islamists. Religious Ministry was never serious in implementing the Reforms in the first place. Ijazul Haq is an expert in procrastination.

Hamid Mir said on the TV with Ijazul Haq sitting in front of him that when Ijaz went to negotiate with Mulla Adbul Aziz of Lal Masjid, he first touched the mullahs feet. There will always be some opposition to any policy any govt in world forms. It is the job of the Minister to enforce this policy through dialogue, cajoling and if all else fails through stick. How can you be forceful if, despite being a minister, you appear as a supplicant to an ordinary mullah.

If Ijaz ul Haq had any integrity whatsoever, he would come out and openly admit that he was wrong in getting Lal Masjid brothers off the hook. IMO he is as much responsible for this fiasco as the Lal Masjid mob.

I have read the article by Kamal Siddiqui and it is a very good one and quite unlike the appology of Ijaz ul Haq. Didnt you notice that he failed to give any numbers. Why did he fail to mention that total number of madrassas were barely two dozen before Zia's time and now their number is close to two dozen thousand.

quite right sir,
when i heard Ijaz-ul-haq say that he had touched that mullah's feet, i was astonished....and what really got me thinking was how he openly addmitted it, without even feeling ashamed. but what else can u expect from the son of a man who started all this crap in the first place.

as far as the choudhry brothers are concerned, well what can i say, only that this is a Kakistocracy......
