We are also proud of Iran, but just like you should not trust Western propaganda, you should not trust Iranian government propaganda. Taliban is fighting USA and NATO, and fighting them hard, Alhamdulillah. Now, it's NATO and USA that wants talks with Taliban, not the other way around. Taliban did not want the USA/NATO to invade Afghanistan in 2001 itself but USA/NATO wanted no talks, they invaded straightaway and now they are calling for peace-talks.
Also, at least two Arab countries (Syria and Libya) actively supported Iran at some stage or other, and at least another country (Algeria) helped broker "peace" between Iraq and Iran. Most Iraqi Shia Arabs and Kurds also felt closer to Iran than to Saddam. Anyway, let's not sidetrack this thread, politics can be very messy.
Let's look for more achievements by Iranians.
