The dog who guarded a two-year-old who went missing in the Australian bush for fourteen hours

A missing toddler was found safe and well in the Australian bush after being guarded from harm by his family's faithful pet dog for 14 hours. Dasher the German Shepherd was found by two-year-old Dante Berry's side when rescuers tracked them down in a woodland more than four kilometers from his mother's home in Mildura, Victoria.

Dante's mother Bianca Chapman raised the alarm after the pair disappeared from her front garden. They were eventually discovered when two police officers heard a loud cry in knee-high scrub several meters from the track.

What even made you mention Muammar Gaddafi here? Have some respect for the dead, even if you opposed him to the bone and even if you disliked @jamahir 's posts about street dogs

Moreover, off topic, I have come to know that Libyans were way more happy under Gaddafi than the present regime

I would be more than happy if his retardness was limited to " Street dogs " only, which even i believe is an issue in India.

But

This bigot wants to eliminate the entire dog population on this planet beacuse of his religious affiliation.

we have tried our level best to have a logical debate with him on the same issue on a previous thread.

Like it or not but his retardness will now be dealt in the same manner.

If u find it offensive, feel free to tag the mods :)

you should go say that to fidel castro, carlos and the ghosts of nelson mandela and hugo chavez.

and you clearly seem not moved by those gruesome incidents i posted.

dog is dog... i have posted, twice, the photos of the owned german shepherd dog attacking a girl.

and every time my posts have negated untrue pro-dog statements such as in the op...
What exactly is your problem with dogs mate? has one bitten you before?

libya was a revolutionary society and to make such a place one requires courage which people like @Robinhood Pandey and @Parul don't have... it is easier being a miitary fan-boy/fan-girl than be a revolutionary hence their jealousy and hatred of gaddafi. :)

Moreover, off topic, I have come to know that Libyans were way more happy under Gaddafi than the present regime

yeah, the libyan jamahiriya not only was a comfortable society materially but also a unique society in the world because it was a true democracy[1]...
October 20, marks the four-year anniversary of the US-backed assassination of Libya’s former leader, Muammar Gaddafi, and the decline into chaos of one of Africa’s greatest nations.

In 1967 Colonel Gaddafi inherited one of the poorest nations in Africa; by the time he was assassinated, he had transformed Libya into Africa’s richest nation. Prior to the US-led bombing campaign in 2011, Libya had the highest Human Development Index, the lowest infant mortality and the highest life expectancy in all of Africa.

Today, Libya is a failed state. Western military intervention has caused all of the worst-scenarios: Western embassies have all left, the South of the country has become a haven for ISIS terrorists, and the Northern coast a center of migrant trafficking. Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia have all closed their borders with Libya. This all occurs amidst a backdrop of widespread rape, assassinations and torture that complete the picture of a state that is failed to the bone.
Under Gaddafi’s unique system of direct democracy, traditional institutions of government were disbanded and abolished, and power belonged to the people directly through various committees and congresses.

Far from control being in the hands of one man, Libya was highly decentralized and divided into several small communities that were essentially “mini-autonomous States” within a State. These autonomous States had control over their districts and could make a range of decisions including how to allocate oil revenue and budgetary funds. Within these mini autonomous States, the three main bodies of Libya’s democracy were Local Committees, Basic People’s Congresses and Executive Revolutionary Councils.

this[2] is one of my own posts about the place and describes the material facilities and the political system ( party-less system based on direct-democracy and decentralized governance ).

1. like i have said thrice or more, i could have gotten my neck torn by a big labrador dog that was jumping one feet in front of me and right outside a neighbor's house, but that didn't happen because i didn't look away from the dog... sadly, that dog is still alive... and when i was 10 or so, i was chased by a pomeranian dog with the dog's owners standing and laughing... how psychopathic can they be !!

2. just yesterday was this thread[3]...
Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said the state police would not initiate action against those culling rabid and dangerous stray dogs.

The Home Minister said the stray dog menace has emerged as a law and order issue and the government cannot remain a mute spectator. Hence, nothing illegal in killing dangerous stray dogs which attack people. Police would not register case against those who kill such dogs, said the minister in his facebook page.

3. you have seen my post in the first page where dogs have eaten or attacked infant humans.

Indore: In a gruesome incident, the dead body of new born baby was found taken away by a stray dog from the premises of Indore’s MY hospital.

A passerby saw a stray dog carrying a new born in his mouth and he started running after it. But the dog managed to escape into the bushes and began eating the infant.

I'm laughing about you ranting on about evil 'unspeakable' canines and the glory of Muammar Gaddafi's oil fueled 'islamic socialism' in a thread in the offtopic section about a sweet dog who waited for her owner at the hospital for months.

man, give it a rest sometime, will you.. please !

btw, read this in the paper in the morning, and you immediately sprung to mind :P

Waiting @jamahir
-

In a heartbreaking tale of devotion, a dog spent two months patiently waiting at the doors of a hospital in southern Spain for its beloved master to return.

But sadly, the dog's owner was never to return as he died after being admitted to the hospital in Antequera in early November.

For two months the mongrel, a bitch around eight months old, survived on scraps from hospital visitors and staff until she was finally taken in by an animal rescue centre and found a foster home.

"She spent days and days waiting at the door of the hospital not realizing that her master would never emerge to take her home," explained a spokeswoman from Patitas Andaluzas, the animal rescue charity that eventually took the dog in.

"Thanks to social media, her story has been spread and she has found a foster home in Madrid and is now looking for a permanent home."

The Spanish mongrel has been named Hachiko after a Japenese hound who famously waited years at a Shibuya station for his owner in a story made into a Hollywood film starring Richard Gere.

Well the 'unspeakables', 3 of them of various sizes, were either sleeping or walking about, but minding their own business and they usually give way when I walk past them. One of the cats was quite shy but the other one was aggressive. I was eating breakfast, not sure what happen to cat, it came to me, I thought it probably wanted me to pet, which I did, but then it suddenly swung both of its fore legs with claws out, one missed other scratched my hand. I just used some topical anti septic cream, hoping that the cat did not carry any disease. I bear no ill will towards him or cats in general. :)
