What's new

Love through the ruins....

. .
Oh! Never mind.
Yemen and Syria are both war torn regions.

Isn't the girl's dress a little bold going by Islamic traditions?
I am sorry the question is just out of curiosity. :)
not all muslims dress conservative, not even moderatly. you look a bit out and you will see muslims girls in careers you never think they'd be in

Yes, i know many Lebanese women who would stand out of the crowd. But for a syrian, the dress is bold...or so i thought.

It was never about the careers...you know what I mean.
I never underestimate women. :)

Not really. Syrians, Iraqis, Lebanese, Jordanians, Moroccans and a majority of Arab countries are very Westernized.
It is only the Gulf countries where the women dress as they do because that is their culture.

yes, i knew about Morccans too but never imagined Iraqis in the list. But why does such a difference exist?

.
Let's avoid war and destructions for a short happy moment.
Let's hope for this Syrian couple a bright future and a lot of children. :cray:

That image is deeply poignant but within hope is still eternal. What a lovely couple. I hope they have bright future. I saw Top Gear team drive through Syria - What a lovely country. A tragedy has unfolded since.

And thanks for sharing these deeply moving images.

Exposure to and being part of the wider Meditearnean world - which effectively many of them are part of. A Syrian is Meditearnean, Arab and or Muslim at differant levels. Ditto Tunisian etc.
