Losing interest in Indus civilization

. . .
Welcome Back :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
Thanks. Consider this as a "fly by" - I could just not resist from firing a burst at the Ganga's. I got to keep the Ganga's tickled.

This adage 'Ganga' I have given to - well you know who has a thought out reason. If you look at map of South Asia two major rivers stare out at you. They are Indus on the west with it's green strip of irrigated land Ganga Basin in the east.

The differance between the two is stark. The Indus Basin essentialy is extention of the Middle East dry climate and is marked as semi-arid or aride desert. Only the mighty Indus provides us the water for irrigation otherwise it would be belly up for Pakistan. Therefore Indus Basin defines Pakistan and did so to our ancestors.

Ganga on the other hand is wet, damp and was tropical jungles until not long ago with monkeys, elephants and homo sapiens of cetain variety hanging off the trees. They contributed to no civilization whatsoever. Vast majority of Indian's are part or full descendants of these and thus my preferance for the term 'Ganga'. It captures the essence of what India is and Pakistan is NOT. We are NOT a Ganga people or culture. Not one inch of our land comes anywhere near the Ganga. For me the term Ganga sums up India as opposed to Indus Pakistan. That is why I suggest people here pick up that term please. When I do back here I expect 'Ganga' to be used more frequently.

Look at the physical map of South Asia. You can clearly see Indus Basin seprarated from India by the desert. Ganga Basin which has over 700 million Indians living within it and of course the Dravid India with another 400 million. Only Indian Punjab falls within the geography of Pakistan.

Indian writers know this that is why they will do anything to hyphenate Indus with Ganga in a desperate attempt to leech or suck off Indus - because as we know that is the cradle of civilization in our part of the world. Thus they come up with Indo-Ganga basin when that is incorrect. The two are entirely distinct regions with distinct climates. We must do eveything to link (rightly) Ganga/Hindu > India. Conversely Indus/Muslim > Pakistan. Ganga discharges flows toward and discharges into the Bay of Bengal whereas Indus flows toward and discharges into Arabian Sea.

Even outsiders are slowly realizing this - that geography of the Indus is what underpins Pakistan. Take the time to read this article by Robert Kaplan please.

Atithi Devo Bhav is Indian philosophy about Hospitality.

IVC were idol worshipper and believed in many Gods.

Lord Pashupati from IVC is another name of Shiva.

IVC people worshipped River Sindhu.

IVC people had Gender Equality.

Yet none them were created, none of them considered cow as scared.

With all your bullocks, you can fool indians not us. Not a single source to support su h claimed.

Pashupati ( Worshed Diety of IVC) itself means Saviour of Pashu (Cattle)

In Vedic tradition it was common to sacrifice cattle in Yagnya and eat them as Prasada ( This practice was stopped after Buddhism started resisting it)

You can cry anything you want and stay blind to facts. World with watchful eyes knows who is real fool.

People who deserted their own culture for sake of Saving life from invading powers or getting high posts in Invaders rule should stop talking about legacy or IVC Heritage because even their ancestors must be cursing them from graves.
Iam sorry but I'm very proud of my ancestors of choosing a good and civilised religion that is not confined into single place.
Secondly indi was never a single union until British came, even during indepednace it consisted of 6 or so princely state
Your analogy is flawed because you says they worshipped many gods ? Nonsuch scripture suggest it.So does that mean you also claim ownership to lands in far east because of that ?

They had proper drainage and toilet system even back then

Pishu or pishaap for that matter. There is no evidence to suggest that. Even if you were remotely related to them. Then you should not be where you're now. Because back then they did have fine luxuries which are a neccesity now and India is still struggling to provide them to their citizens right now

Empires like Satvahanas empire, Maurya empire, Ashoka's empire existed long before Bristish came to India.

British started trading company in West Bengal with name EAST INDIA company. Which itself explains everything.

The Indus Valley people had a primitive religious system. The main goddess was a mother goddess representing fertility, they also worshiped animals. On a seal their is a figure sitting in a yoga-like position and is thought to be an early representation of a Hindu god. Some Indus valley seals show swastikas, swastikas were used in the Hindu Religion. Swastikas were sacred symbol for good luck. The Hindu religion was probably based off of the Indus Valley.

( IVC's Pashupati with Animal and serpent = Lord Shiva in Hinduism )

Many Indus valley seals show animals. One scroll shows a horned figure surrounded by animals; the figure was called Pashupati, which meant lord of cattle. Pashupati is similar to the Hindu Gods, Shiva and Rudra.

( Three headed God found in IVC = Tridevta ( Brahma Vishnu Mahesh in hinduism)

The Indus Valley people built large bathhouses, and practiced ritual bathing ( Such common bath places are mentioned in Mahabharta )

The early Harappans buried their dead, but later they cremated them. They believed that their Gods would take the ashes to heaven

Again it was more or less like EU. The northern and southern divide should alone tell you the difference in color, culture and traditions.
Again claiming jack shit without any evidence is like saying how during vedic times Hindus had nuke reactors. A laughing joke in front of world

Yet no Hindus practice such. How related !

Pathans in north areas of Pakistan and sindhis in south areas have such differences too.So can we call they belong to different nations ??

Haha you dont even think about what Swastika, Pashupati and Three headed god from IVC really symbolises. And making statements about claims we dont make doesnt sound funny but its pure stupidity.

Its not in day to day practice for same reason as why riding donkey/camel is not seen in muslim nations these days which was once popular in their ancient culture.

And public baths at religious places in rivers like Ganga , Yamuna , Krishna , Godaveri , Kaveri is still popular in hinduism. Common bath of devotees in kumbh mela is still having religious significance in hinduism.

Lol I will not waste myntime with u. You haven't proven a single claim.
Where post 19 is your answer. And no there no such divide between pathan as much admit is between north and south Indian.
Secondly, yes pathan are of different gene pool than Sindhi. The speak different language

nations these days which was once popular in their ancient culture.
Its wasn't religious practise, but it is norm to travelmin animals in absences of transport.
Are you saying that this only exlcsive to Muslims and Hindus travelled in spaceships ?

No evidence whatsoever

Where was Pakistan during IVC times?
Where the hell was your Ganga dump during IVC times? It did not even make a mark on history. Our land on the other is cradle of civilization. Don't ever forget that.

Sanskrit scriptures were all written in Swat Area
I know. We gave you language. We gave you culture. We even gave you the makings of a religion. Now it would be nice if you could thank us.
