What's new

Look, the LAC has Disappeared !

India will need to move back to Finger 2 to get a deal
Come on you're asking too much here lol. The Chinese are more than satisfied with Finger 4 .... it is already over 8 kilometers past the original Chinese position. Please have some mercy for the reputation and face saving of the Modi government.

terrorist maosist traitors are against india

-Demarcation still needs to be agreed upon.
-Sanctions matter to China , if india is unable to remove sanctions the Chinese will escalate again..
its not over yet..
this is just a pause... took 60 yrs to get here; 60 more to get anything concrete.

So, what China has achieved, is forced India to accept Pakistan's recent offical political map by re-inforcing the premise there is no defined border between Pakistan, Indian Illegally occuppied Kashmir and China as the basic price for allowing tensions to decrease and to save India from further blushes !!!!!!!!

:victory: ......

So that's it. India has decided to lie down and roll over the ground. All that barking the Hindu Extremists did, I guess just turned out to be the usual barking.

mostly agree but keep in mind that China did not go to Ladakh to fight a war but to clarify a few points to indians - who buoyed by america- were laboring under some mis-comprehensions. Chinese also went there to actually stop a war. and so far I believe they have succeeded. S Jaishankar seems far wiser than Pompeo gives him credit.
Sorry, China did not go there to stop a war. China went there because India was improving infrastructure in it's border areas. This could pose a threat to One Belt One Road policy. They figured that India will look for re conciliatory exit like usual. Unfortunately that did not happen. Chinese climbed a ladder they could not step down from without India doing the same.

This does not mean that the situation is over. There are lot of moves either party can play. The recent joint declaration is interesting and should be discussed here.

S Jaishankar: 1
Pompeo: 0
I think Pompeo has more situational awareness than anyone else. Your point assignment is wrong there is no competition between S Jaishankar and Pompeo.

Demarcation is a double edged sword now. Damned if they do it. Damned if they don't. Don't think it will happen. if it does happen now, CCP will see internal upheaval. That would be convenient for USA.

Chinese cannot escalate on topic of Sanctions. Because India will ask for reciprocation, If Indians are given access thru the great Chinese firewall, USA will surely piggy back on it. Remember Chinese may block the sale of ticktok that should give a hint of how Chinese will respond to economic predators.

China is taking a page out of the Art of War, "supreme excellence is when you subdue your enemy without fighting.".

India has lost it. Its a bully. When a powerful adversary comes across, it meekly surrenders. Its bully behavior and empty threats are only for Pakistan. Its a typical Hindu Brahmin mentality.

We need to discuss how this impacts LoC and what are the options for Pakistan.

Pakistan must stop looking at UN or West to find solutions to its problems. It needs to look at it on its own. With China's arm up in India's, this will definitely open up opportunities in Kashmir. Also, with Taliban gaining power in Afghanistan an US pulling out, out western border will be free from mischief.

Recently Taliban have put very strict conditions on TTP terrorists to stay in Afghanistan. If TTP accepts those terms, it either stops existing or will have to move to Pakistan where Pakistan Army is already waiting.

Slowly and steadily India's leverages are being taken out one by one - Iran, Afganistan, singular concentration against Pak etc.

The best part is Indian has been Pak's problem, and now it has become China's problem too...
