Look How Rich India's Become Under New Prime Minister Modi

It's not a wise thing to show ur IP in public domain and I'm not going to show my IC to prove my citizenship :D

What made you think I am a Singaporean citizen?
I could be just a resident too?
Today I am here, tomorrow I will migrate to Canada/USA.
Why I should be worried about public domain then?
Ever heard the adage?

But India has twice the population of Africa. Hence on absolute numbers, India will have more poor. But if India can maintain 8% growth rate for next 5 to 6 years, the number of poor will come down by half.

No. A minimum of 7% growth for a poor country only works if the population growth is not out of control for that country. In India's case, population increases by around 13-14 million people each year easily wipes out the 7% economic growth.

Population of Africa: 1.1 billion
Population of India: 1.2 billion

Nominal GDP of Africa: 2.6 trillion
Nominal GDP of India: 2 trillion

India racks up $36 billion of external debt in just one year.

India’s external debt at $426 billion in December - The Hindu
India's end-Dec external debt at $461.9 bn | Business Standard News

Averages out to $690 million a week in 2014.

Same link says India's external debt to GDP ratio has been actually shrunk by 0.5% in 8 months despite external debt has been risen by few billions. Do you know what It means? It means that Our GDP growth has been much better than that of external debt. Which is what matters. Thanks for the link though.

@Established_1965

I am done with you, for today.

Next time don't ridicule people (even unknowingly) who might be wiser than you.

And yes.
If I see your mischief again. You will get my smack on the butt.

Adios loco..

BTW luck favours the brave :-)
And actually i have not seen any brave steps from him till now. Almost reaching an year of Modi Government...still have not seen any strong action against any corrupt prominent figure? Raja, Sibal, Karunadhi, Kalmadi, Sonia all are out and free..

What about corruption in the MCD in Delhi...Modi keeps on shouting he will make India corruption free, but no steps are taken to make MCD currently ruled by BJP, corruption free. He needs to do lots of work to get system aligned and working.

More over, he has done lots of U turns on national policies too.. Article 356 is one such example. You fight against a party because of its principles and end up making coalition government with them diluting your stand pre-election. Isnt it a case of forgery?

Africa is a continent while India is a country. In a continent, different countries are at different developmental stage. Hence you are mixing different things.

I reckon 8% growth rate will works and when the growth rate is calculated it also takes into account 13-14 million people that are added every years ,after all GDP is combined contribution of all people of India including the 13-14 million people

Don't worry AAP has taken the charge now...Delhi will undergo something called ''Kaya Palat''.

India has been growing since 1992. Why has it taken them more than 20 years just to start building toilets? I am mentioning this because this is basic sanitation, a basic standard of living. My Indian friends have visited villages recently and they have told some parts don't even have roads, no street lighting. Electricity will cut off 6 hours at a time.

Here in England the poorest man has a 42 inch tv and enough money for a satellite subscription. That is money trickling down.

Its not about a hand out, its about providing basics. If India has funds to go to space then they have enough to do these things.
Space ventures pay for themselves.

That said, it takes time for institutions to start performing..and national priorities defined.

What matters is that - Today, India is growing economically. Bringing millions out of poverty. This is what matters.

Population growth in India is pretty much under control. India is to reach replacement levels of fertility by 2020.
India to reach replacement levels of fertility by 2020 - The Hindu

Population of Nigeria > 173.6 million (2013)
Population of Pakistan > 182.1 million (2013)

Nominal GDP of Nigeria > 521.8 billion USD (2013)
Nominal GDP of Pakistan > 232.3 billion USD (2013)

Why be so selective? :coffee:

And yes, kindly refrain from applying your Madarsa economics here -

Depends on what you are trying to achieve, going after Sonia would make her a martyr, why would anyone do that? I think they are just trying to set the economy growing again, these corrupt bozos will hang themselves if given enough rope.

The passing of Mines and Minerals bill, Coal Mining bill and Insurance bill are brave steps. He had to fight every step of the way to get them passed and start private mining in earnest.

Now the next 2 big fights are - GST and Land Acquisition bill.

If these bills are passed you will see India's growth rate at over 8% consistently.

Word on the street that chai wala walks on water !!!
No idea about water, but the Chai wala is certainly getting economic reforms off the ground.
