London riots: Violence erupts for third day

If you examine the coverage carefully, you can see how the tory government has a plan to spin this. Every government hack giving interviews on TV, keeps pound on the word 'opportunistic' without ever mentioning that this might be a social problem.

Couldnt agree more british and west have perfected the propaganda message will be these are just kids nutters etc

Three Pakistanis killed by car during riots in Birmingham
LONDON: Three Pakistanis died Wednesday after being hit by a car during riots in the central English city of Birmingham, officials said, amid reports that they died while trying to protect their community from looters.

Police said they had arrested a man and launched a murder inquiry after the incident which happened at around 1:00 am (0000 GMT) as Britain's second biggest city suffered from another night of riots.

Paramedics said they found around 80 people at the scene after the men were hit by the car. Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene and the third died later in hospital.

The BBC reported that the men who died had just come out of a mosque and were protecting their neighbourhood during the riots.

Around 200 people from Birmingham's Asian community gathered outside the hospital where the victims were taken and that riot police were also stationed here, the BBC reported.

There was no immediate confirmation of those details from police.

Britain has been hit by four nights of violent rioting. London was quieter on Tuesday night but the unrest spread to other cities including Manchester in the northwest and Birmingham. (AFP)[/QUOTE

Most likely anybody hit in Birmingham will be of asian origin and the person who hit him is also likely to be an asian. The Police has started a murder inquiry instead of felicitating him like ST's murderer in pakistan.

What kind of political statement did the lad on the right make according to you?

Same as the political point that americans/british troops were making in iraq prisons

it is now time for the police to defend innocent and hard working citizens, and it is now for them to differentiate bewteen human rights and criminals. these thugs must be stopped.

They have much more subtle ways. But dont worry if they need to restore law and order they will do much worse and be just as ruthless as any tinpot dicatator if they have to.

Arent they Asian's??:what:

Yes, they are..... but I don't know why outlook india is using the word 'Asian' despite the BBC itself was reporting that those were Pakistanis.

Maybe they will correct later when gets more confirmation.

Ok so you say UK army should step in and bomb the hell out of its citizens?

When army steps in ..... it does not bomb the hell out of the citizens....
Every country has once in a while brought in the Army when the law and order situation has deteriorated

Even the Americans called in the Army during the Watts uprising

Watts Riots - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And by the way is their any difference between the training of police counter terrorist squads and military special forces ? Governments are willing to use brute force when necessary
