What is the Tatar word for "rice" then?

Today Nobody knows what düg means. It is Local or sub-ethnic dialect, something like pirçikli, (havuç)

Pirçik-li? What is the root of "pirçik"?

For "havuç", we say "yerkökü (yer-kökü).

In our dialect we also have "yeralması" (yer-alması) for potato.

yeralması is somthing different we say it to somthing that looks like potato but not so round and tastes very sweet..

but yerelma could be a word wich comes from french they use it for potatoes

For "havuç", we say "yerkökü (yer-kökü).

Though this is not standard or found in most dialects, but in our dialect we also have "yeralması" (yer-alması) for potato.

Pirçikli-> havuç. Pirçik diye birşey yok.

Tatars understand Orkhun language easily, whereas Anatolian Turks do not. Too much Persian and Arabic influence that needs to be erased.

for persian influence we have more french influence than persian.. so many persian words were erased

we have about 1400 persian words.. over 6500 arabic words and up to 5000 french words

We can erase more, IMO...

For example, we can use Turkish word "Kutlu" instead of Arabic word "Mübarek".... we use them both in our language both condition ourselves to use Turkish words, also we can banish foreign words in the education system....

But it is hard to do with these Arab lover leader of ours.

I see that the word for rice (pirinç) is "döge" in Tatar. It's "düyü" in Azerbaijani, "düvi" in Turkmen. Another example of G-Y-V transition.

Are you sure about that ?

I don't think it would be correct to claim that Göktürk language are x amount of similar to any modern Turkic language, but reading them, I find alot of similarities with Oghuz. In terms of vocabulary there are indeed big differences, which is to be expected. I'm certain these differences also exist with other non-Oghuz languages, more or less.

For example, I noticed the -yor suffix that are same as modern Turkish. There is also a wide usage of inferential "miş" suffix as in Oghuz.

Below I noticed "tutuztı" and "aldızdı". The same exists in Azerbaijani, it would be tutuzdurdu & aldızdırdı (tutturdu - aldırtdı).

Azerbaijani example: "Əbdülməlik vali olduqdan sonra o daşı götüzdürdü."

Teg-> gibi demek, Kırım Tatarları kullanıyor mu emin değilim, ama Nogaylar kullanıyor.

Bolmak-> olmak, Tatar, Nogay, Özbek, Kazak kullanıyor.
