live snake discovered on a IAF’s MiG-21 fighter

. . . . . . . .
The maintainance people should be more vigilant, as this sort of stuff is not good for pilot morale. Other IAF pilots flying would be nervous and jittery, thinking about the possibility that there might be snakes on their aircraft as well.

Already, many IAF pilots vie for transport aircraft service rather than serving on combat aircraft, as there's a more lucrative future in the commercial aviation world after retiring.

Project AIR FORCE report of the RAND Corporation on the Indian Air Force made the following observation:

“Although all aspects of training are important, pilot training is critical and has attracted much attention recently. Apparently some difficulty has arisen in recruiting pilots, even though the yearly quota of 100 is relatively small. Many of those recruited do not wish to become fighter pilots, as transport pilots have a better future in the commercial aviation world.”

. . .
Having a snake in your cockpit at high speeds would be fucked.

Seriously Indian Pilots should stop Chinese J-10 cartoon...having a live snake in plane won't help you to fire a python missile

On a serious note, although this may be just one off incident, but imagine if it were to happen a few more times, imagine the implications on a pilot strapped in his seat with the thought and fear on his mind that a snake might be slithering around. !!

Hey the pilot can break the sound barrier if He feels in secured, so that he can pilot with confidence that now anything living except him would probably be lying unconscious/dead. :woot:

Without any jokes or criticism intended, this is a very serious matter. Imagine if the snake is discovered in flight or in the cockpit? Or what if it has punctured some vital hydraulic component or nibbled on a wire exposing it for short circuit!?

I m not technical and dont even know if this can happen but if it could, it will be a very serious issue.
