you have to be open minded not closed to discover science.
As a doctor he is perfectly right in keeping a open mind, without that you will never be able to progress.
I see people who have faith are more prone to accepting things with a open mind and progress than the atheists who have a rigid fixed mind types.

Atheism in itself is a faith. Science do not and could not disprove existence of God.

People who do not believe in god due to rational reasons become agonist, those who have bad experience ( pedophilia in west ) with clergy become atheist.

the unified indian communist movement should think of forwarding socialism by other means... certainly not elections...
