Libyan rebels cage black Africans in zoo, force feed them flags

A shocking video has appeared on the Internet showing Libyan rebels torturing a group of black Africans. People with their hands bound are shown being locked in a zoo-like cage and allegedly forced to eat the old Libyan flag.

*“Eat the flag, you dog. Patience you dog, patience. God is Great,” screams a voice off-camera in the video uploaded to YouTube last week, which also made its way onto ********.com.

The torturers are also shown making the group of captive black Africans stand up with pieces of green cloth still in their mouths and apparently forcing them start jumping.

A number of people are shown standing outside the cage watching the atrocity.

After Muammar Gaddafi was killed, hundreds of migrant workers from neighboring states were imprisoned by fighters allied to the new interim authorities.

They accuse the black Africans of having been mercenaries for the late ruler.

In the course of the fighting to topple Gaddafi last year, sub-Saharan African migrants and refugees “became targets of stigma, discrimination and violence,” the human rights group Amnesty International said last month.

“At the beginning of the crisis, there was vastly exaggerated propaganda for which the highest level of the National Transitional Council should take some responsibility because they largely contributed to that unfounded propaganda,” said Donatella Rovera, Amnesty’s senior crisis response advisor.

Some of the black migrants managed to flee into neighboring Mali and Niger, but more than 5,000 were detained. They face mass execution, beatings, and revenge killings, according to an Al Jazeera report published back in September.

Before the Libyan uprising broke out, the country hosted about a million black African workers, many of them employed in domestic work, construction, trash collection and other low-wage jobs.

Human Rights Investigations (HRI) suspect Libyan rebels of ethnic cleansing of the black population of the country, particularly in the city of Tawergha.

Where is Nato and the USA now? They wanted to remove Gaddafi because of his atrocities - and replace him with this - hypocritical scumbags. International terrorism of extreme proportions!

on the topics of Arabs and Africans --- if you ever go to Saudi you will see people who are 100% Saudi nationals but are of African origins....remember that at one point in time the entire MENA region consisted of many nomadic, tribal (and bedouin) people.

go to southern Egypt in regions like Aswan -- same thing. They look nothing like Egyptians from the north coast -- where some of the people are tan-skinned and blue eyed.

You can also watch hi playing with his grand children, that is another video, nobody is saying he is an animal.
Saddam was secular and Iraq gave better schooling to their girls under him dictatorship than probably now.

But I will still think countries are better off without dictator/king, whether they are nice or nasty, secular or communal, whether they do good or bad to their people.

If so called dictator takes care of his countryman very well (and Gaddafi did a much better job than all recent Indian leaders), whats wrong with that? Its up to citizens to decide what they want, not for foreign countries to impose their system by bombs and huge piles of dead bodies.

Libya was to some extent a democratic country (Jamahiriya), but even if someone advocates for pure democracy, it isnt some magic system which works everywhere, its not even a perfect system where it supposedly works (just watch US).

Since you are hindu, would you like that China would impose their system on you? No? You just suggested the same for the Libya. If majority of Libyans would have wanted to change the system, they would have, like Iranians did against Shah. But since Libyans were content, it took a massive effort by the West and Arabs to change Libyas regime to puppets, who cant even control the country, which is in ruins now. Its safe to say Libyans will probably never live in such good conditions as they had under Gaddafi.

I realy feel sorry for the present state of Libiya, the moment the western backed protesters started agitaing I knew that this day would come when humans will eat humans alive in Libiya.
How can a human being tolerate scuh nonsence being administered to a fellow human being.

Scientifically it is belived that life began as a single celled organism and evolved to become the inteligent race of the planet. But the video is a testimony that we are worse then a single celled organism.
