Libya: From Africa’s Wealthiest Democracy to US-NATO Terror Haven

taishang, thank you for another article that enlightens, and this article gives the facts in such a simple and broad manner, contrasting with many members who make confusing posts and engage in circular debate.

i must explain here that the libyan jamahiriya system is the simplest political system and abolished two unnecessary elements present in other systems - (a). elections, (b). political parties.

since the jamahiriya system is direct-democracy ( decisions and authority of the people ) and the society must essentially work for the welfare of the people, they saw no point in creating vested-interest groups called political parties who will then engage in dividing the society along sectarian/group lines and waste the energies and efforts of the people... whether western-style multi-party systems or single-party systems, both were seen as wrong systems in libya.

the libyan system was a party-less system.

libya was a true democracy where it is the people who were the authority... look at this section in the op...

and below are simple explanations of the system i gave in other threads...

Khap offers 51 buffaloes for beheading Vinod Kapri, director seeks protection

BJP MP demands renaming of Aurangzeb Road to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road | Page 2

and please also note in the op section that taishang highlighted in red.

and how contrasting it is that this thread ( Two Dalit Children Burned Alive in India ) from today is about economic/social injustice and oppression in india which was not known in the libyan jamahiriya because of its advanced socialist form of social/political/economic arrangement whose few attributes i list below ( copy from another thread )...

top quality imperialist/dictatorial nonsense.
Simple minded people are easily brainwashed to believe that only multiparty election can bring about democracy.

it saddens me

i knew nothing about libya.i didnt even know about gaddafi after his murder. But finding out all about media, how it works and bigotry.this made me cry.

your remark in the other thread about that vile propaganda film "the dictator" was so true... the film was released in the middle of 2012 by which time possibly 120,000+ libyans had been killed by terrorists and nato rockets in the most horrendous ways ( :: www.uruknet.info :: informazione dal medio oriente :: information from middle east :: [vs-1] )... it would only be psychopaths who would make that film.

he wanted to unite muslims but the gcc was full of cunts and hence he turned to africans.wanting to empower them.

not just unite muslims but every progressive movement and person in the world... the "jamahiriya" theory is also called "the third universal theory" and written in the green book... there are editions in other languages too, i know of german, spanish and russian editions.

you should read about the libyan project called "mathaba" which was a internationalist project to spread the jamahiriya ideology and unite progressives under a common grouping... this ( Al Mathaba / Anti-Imperialism Center (AIC) ) is one info about it but from a private american intel organization and this ( THE WORLD MATHABA ) is from a green movement source ( "green movement" means the transnational people's movement that seeks to establish the jamahiriya theory in the world ).

there are a few references on google books too.

hugo chavez i believe studied the "green book" and some years before his death in 2012, he started the process to reconfigure venezuela into the direct-democray decentralized communes that was similar to libya but with venezeulan flavor...

venezuela, the second jamahiriya, one might say.

The whole gold dinnar thing.

yes, "gold dinar" was one of the reasons for the 2011 invasion... nato couldn't allow the usa dollar to be undermined.

though people generally say that "gold dinar" was for muslim countries and non-muslim of the african countries, it was also envisaged as something that would replace the usa dollar at some point... in 2009, there was a meeting between libyan jamahiriya, russia, china, malaysia and i presume other countries too... it was about adoption of "gold dinar" as inter-trade currency... but no decision was taken because of differences on how should the new currency look like... russia wanted it to be physical currency and libya wanted it to be digital... later, russia, china and malaysia withdrew from the project for individual reasons... a tragedy, but libya kept talking about the currency.

The rebels were they libyan?i mean if everyone had everything in libya then why revolt?or did the nato and gcc cunts send them.

some of the "rebels" were indeed libyan and i can distinguish three types of these...

1. those of the former lifg terrorist group who had been fighting against the jamahiriya system since the 80's and had in the 2000's merged with qaeda... their leader was abdul-hakim belhaj who after nato had conquered tripoli in october 2011 was appointed occupied libya's defense minister... now, this fellow was also connected with the syria war and his connections with erdogan's government in turkey i have made references about in previous posts, so you can find those via pdf search facility ( Search ).

2. a few people in libya ( citizens ) were of the reactionary, mullah sort and based mainly in benghazi city where the entire drama started... these were the people about whom gaddafi said in a 2011 speech that they wouldn't be happy even if they were given 10-room houses... they were anti-progressives who wanted mosques and not free education and medicine, they wanted the ladies to be covered up and not be free... their minds were numbed by the brain-wash of mullah filthy words... they didn't want freedom for libyans but oppression... they were a bunch easily manipulatable by cia and i suppose were supporters of the "muslim" brotherhood group ( ikhwaan ul "muslimeen" ).

3. exiles in western countries... these people were either direct those exiled by the jamahiriya for anti-revolution activities or were children of exiles or escapes after the 1969 revolution... these people were of much help to western intelligence agencies... these people either supported the rule of the pre-1969-revolution libyan king, idris, or directly supported the reactionary groups ( lifg, qaeda, "muslim" brotherhood ).

the remainder of the rebels ( thousands ) were from all over the world, from indonesia to belgium... i had read in 2011 a report that spoke of usa airforce planes in afghanistan taking plane-loads of taliban to the battle-fields of libya... other than plain terrorists, the "rebels" also consisted of nato-and-allies special forces - usa, belgium, qatar, saudi etc.

i mean what was the libyan army doing?sleeping?

good question, and i can answer that with two points...

1. libyan jamahiriya was a revolutionary state that seeked to spread its revolution to other parts of the world but foolishly in recent years did not upgrade its self-defense equipment and also had dismantled its nuclear weapons weapons program... the libyan professional army did the best it could... one of muammar gaddafi's sons, khamis al-gaddafi, was the commander of a special forces unit called "khamis brigade" i think and it became famous for its activities... nato's media ran furious disinfo campaign against him in 2011 declaring him dead more than ten times just so that libyans lose hope and accept nato/terrorist rule... but yes, in middle of 2011, the dprk government ( north korea ) scolded the libyan government for having dismantled its nuclear weapons program... dprk said "see what happened??".

2. though there was technically a libyan army, libya was a place where all citizens had the right to carry arms and contribute in defending the state, but thing is libyan citizens had been living in much comfort for so many years that they were shell-shocked when the terrorism began in early 2011 and then nato invaded... but why nato had to kill 150,000+ libyans by the end of 2012 was because libyans put up stiff resistance ideologically and otherwise... this ( Mousa Ibrahim is Very Safe - Green Soldier in Tunisia - YouTube ) is a interview of a green resistance soldier ( former civilian i imagine ) from 2011, interviewed on skype by british journalist, morris herman... in the interview, the resistance soldier describes some of his actions.

at the moment, libyan people resist the nato-imposed governments made up of psychos from "muslim" brotherhood and qaeda... the resistance is not shown on mainstream media but below is some activity...

youtube vid so you will have to proxy i suppose - (( manifestation pro kadhafi Aout 2015 Libye - YouTube ))

most libyans want jamahiriya back and one proof for this was a declaration as such in early 2014 i think by a representative of a collective of libyan tribes.

why did russia not intervene?like now in libya?

in early 2011, when nato and its puppets prepared a case in the uno security council and general assembly for invasion of libya, russian government disproved through its satellite imagery photos the nato claim that "muammar gaddafi's airforce was killing civilians, including women and children".

but truly a great mistake by russia by not intervening militarily... some people said that if russia had helped the jamahiriya militarily, russia wouldn't have seen the ukraine crisis later.

i am sure russia government regrets its paralysis in 2011.

Simple minded people are easily brainwashed to believe that only multiparty election can bring about democracy.

yes, these are people who don't have the courage to question wrong systems or to improve the better systems.

could be back door deals ? anyway if your country don't have IMF/Rothschild bank your a target. This is the way to introduce new world order.

if you mean russia, other than what i have written above, russia simply wasn't courageous enough then to intervene... they have learnt since, hence their intervention in syria.

anyway if your country don't have IMF/Rothschild bank your a target. This is the way to introduce new world order.

indeed.

the libyan banking system was disconnected from the western one... this is also mentioned in the vid posted by waled in page 1.

Europe deserve the refugee problem. What were they thinking when they bomb their own neighbors. They asked for it.
Why? Why generalize? Is France entire Europe? No.

Serbia deserved it, they actions destroyed any chance of new Yugoslavia for a century, they acted like Americans and Russians. Lets be bastards... At least a Yugoslavia could have survived as a Union...

Russia argues (even President Putin himself told so) that the no-fly zone agreement tricked them. Once the UNSC sanctioned (with Russia and China voting absent) no-fly zone over Russia, US and its allies used the opportunity to strike anything moving (on Libyan government's side) on the ground.

This is how they helped the terrorists capture Gaddafi.

A monumental mistake.

Nonetheless, looks like Russia is still a historical-dialectical power, learning from the past mistakes. That's why I have said from the beginning, if Russia is an extension of the USSR, it won't allow a Libya 2.0 in Syria.

Excellent all-around info

All the freedom fighters in Sunni Islamo (non sheihk) countries are shit head jihadist. Sunni Islamo got the help of USA to overthrow Gaddaffi turning their shit land into further shit, then come back blame USA again.

Even now PDF moderator post thread supporting that Sunni Islamofascism is supported by USA.

Anything that touches Sunni Islamofascism become more shitty and Sunni Islamofascist will turn back and blame their murderer land enabler (in most cases USA) for their shit.

Sunni Islamo should perform harakiri if they have some sense of shame.

They went in and destroyed a functioning state. A prosperous one, at that.

Now Libya is a failed state without any functioning government where terrorists rule.

The nations who did this, should be ashamed of themselves for the rest of their lives.

The USA went in Korea and Japan, and went out a shinning state. Do you think Sunni land will have so much shit if everyone behave like me and all my East Asian friends around me, focusing on study 24x7 and cursing those who forever claim they got discriminated?

The white man conquer HK and Singapore and now even HK want white man to rule them (shameful).. why cant sunni be HK version 2.0?

Aahhh...So now Libya was a shining example of democracy.

Yes, the title (Wealthiest Democracy) is rather interesting considering Gaddafi ran the country for 42 years.
In fact I can't even find a country currently with a longer non-royal ruler. Paul Biya of Cameroon is 40 years.

nato psychological warfare, carrot and stick, terrorism really.

reminds me of the 2011 bbc "hard talk" programme interview of the then libyan government spokesman, moussa ibrahim, where the bbc interviewer practically threatens mr. ibrahim with death... mr. ibrahim answers most of the questions so calmly and intelligently...

(( Hardtalk with Moussa Ibrahim Part 1.wmv - YouTube ))

(( Hardtalk with Moussa Ibrahim Part 2.wmv - YouTube ))

So what is the Gaddafi Libya like?

page 1 and page 2 contain good information about gaddafi's libya, including the easy vid on page 1 and my links to my description of the ideology.

other than that, read this ( Libya’s “Water Wars” and Gaddafi`s Great Man-Made River Project | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization )... the "great man-made river" project is the biggest water deliver project in human history... here are some pictures i collected about the "great man-made river" ( 'Water man of India' Rajendra Singh bags top prize ).

other things you must research yourself... not too difficult on internet especially since 2011 as many people are getting interested in knowing about libya. :-)

are his supporters still present.I'd like to know more about green soldiers

his supporters in libya specifically are very much present... they constitute most of the libyan population as indicated in the vid i posted in my long post on page 2.

this ( За Каддафи и его народ | Меня невозможно убить, я в сердцах миллионов ) is a russian site which has up-to-date information about green resistance, nato/qaeda/ikhwaan actions and green ideological information... of course, you will need to google-translate the site.

there are other websites but you can start with this one.
