"Liberal" PPP Leader Boosts About Abducting Any Girl he Likes. All Pakistani Feminists are Silent as Expected

Well, Karachi became a 'part' of Sindh in 1970 only... Before that, it was a federal territory, and later on a part of West Pakistan (One Unit Scheme)... Muhajirs claim that they chose Karachi (and greatly contributed to its development) because it was the capital city of Pakistan (not Sindh). They felt betrayed when the capital was later shifted to Islamabad and Karachi was "given" to Sindh .. Their grievance has some merit to it
Islamabad is part of Punjab but is currently a Federal territory, of fed government moves somewhere it'll end up in Punjab - so yeah This argument is shaky ah
You know what's that like - if down the line it's not federal territory and it's Pashtun, Farswan, Urdu speaking population wants to make a new Islamabad province, would it be acceptable?
Probably not
It's hard to disagree with what you have stated though. Anyway, meeting the legal and constitutional requirements in Pakistan for making new provinces is almost impossible. It would require a two-thirds majority in the Sindh provincial assembly as well as a two-thirds majority in the parliament to make a new "Karachi" province. Moreover, we are a federation, and any demands for making new provinces along ethnic, linguistic, or racial lines cannot be accepted.

'Empowered local government' is the way forward
Yeah a strong mayoral system like NYC or London

Which makes Karachi independent in its internal affairs and part of it's taxes go to provincial government - that's the only relationship it should have with GOS

Government of Sindh should control Karachi like how Federal government control provinces

Provinces are largely independent but still make up Pakistan and under Federal government

I think you're missing the basic point here. Muslims from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, primarily Urdu-speaking, and from across Hindu-majority North India moved to a new country created on the basis of religion. They left behind their homes to take part in building a new Muslim country in alien lands far away... A country where they and their children would have better lives with greater socioeconomic and political opportunities... They contributed greatly to the development of the new country they chose. They never chose Sindh, they chose Pakistan. They have no place to go back to, Karachi is their home now. They felt betrayed when Pakistan was taken away from them and they "landed" in Sindh.. It's in that sense I said that there's some merit to their grievances

Where are the female vocal champions of PPP now?

I don't know when you guys would learn this fact that karachiites don't vote for PPP
People of Karachi never voted PPP & not even think about it But these PPP wadera goons imposed by forcefully by hijack all the institutions...

. . .
That is true but looking at the level of vindictive hatred harbored by Muhajirs against local ethnic groups and their cultures, one could argue this may not be a good idea. Muhajirs in government with absolute power in a Muhajir majority Subah would be a nightmare for ethnic minorities
No. Anything other than ppp is good

.
I am sure most jiyalas didn't leave their home that day thinking they'd rape innocent women or be accessory to rape.
unfortunately most jiyalas are just who serve their local wadera. they will do anything they are ordered to. and ppp has a habit of supporting and favoring criminals and bandits, remember uzair baloch?

there was no reason for vindictive hatred until ayuib khan and gohar ayub carried out a massacre in liaquatabad for supporting fatima jinnah. there was no hatred until Sindhis said no urdu at all will be used in govt offices or schools, banning it effectively in the province. and also implemented a quota system where a guy having 40pc marks was given job and admission to university, while a person 70pc was rejected. there was no reason for hatred when bhutto grabbed schools, colleges, businesses of muhajir people. and there was no reason for vindictive hatred when pashtuns carried out qasbah and aligarh colony massacres in zia ul haq's time. and of course there should be no hatred when people come in and commit crimes, grab land, steal electricity, water and gas, are involved in robberies etc. and get away with it. until zia's time, after all of this, karachi voted for JI, not for a nationlasit party. until the qasbah aligarh massacre no one even considered mqm as an option other than some opportunist people.

anyways, in the hands of a party like MQM, what you say may turn out to be true. that is why pti and ji needs to be active in karachi. they are national parties, and will represent all groups.

the problem is not this. the problem is that Sindhis say that the muhajir people grabbed their land and took it over, when in reality karachi was developed by british, hindu and parsis. the properties and the lands left behind by them were allotted to muhajirs or were settled in squatters like orangi which is situated at a barren, balochistan like landscape. no Sindhi owned land or house was allotted. businessmen sold their businesses or moved it to karachi. the bigger ones like habib group, did so on quaid e azam's request. people invested in it, set up schools, colleges, universities and factories. no one stopped the Sindhi leaders from doing the same in their areas. in fact the first quota system was introduced by liaquat ali khan, a muhajir and east punjabi, to cater for backward areas. and what did they get in return? bhutto grabbed it all (dawood engineering college, adamjee college, hbl, ubl, mcb you name it).

The solution simply is to empower local bodies, fire, police everything should be under the mayor. there should be a share if local bodies in the revenue collected from karachi. but its the other way round. sindh govt transferred all local body departments from KMC to sindh govt control like solid waste management, building control, water and sewerage board etc. all the fee for building registration, construction and dues etc all the money from excise, all the money from sales tax, all the money from billboards, parking, boards on offices schools and shops and all the bills of water board go to sindh govt. after nfc the province even gets a sahre in federal revenue. and what does karachi get in return? thhainga.

There is no easy solution for Sindh. There never was. When people don't want to change they won't change.

the goths and local population already present in karachi was of course a part of karachi. and were regularized. now ppp is establishing new goths illegally. on illegally acquired land. like a squatter. moving their jiyalas into them and regularizing them. there is an entire area of pahar ganj, and kati pahari that is illegally occupied. criminals thrive there. but no one can do anything due to ethnic issues. there is no issue if people move in legally. establish businesses legally. but here, people grab lands and ppp okays it. mqm learned grabbing and china cutting from these guys in the 80s.

.
This is not black and white, I think. Would you blame insafians if IK got killed and there was unrest and and unscrupulous elements took advantage of the situation?
Similarly, I am sure most jiyalas didn't leave their home that day thinking they'd rape innocent women or be accessory to rape.

Well if PTI leadership would have actively harbored criminals and did nothing to investigate events that happened after death of its leadership then yes insafians and PTI are fully responsible for all the chaos that happened on a particular day

I don't know why you guys are defending jiyalas with this lazy and poor defense. I know the reason @M. Sarmad is defending these criminals but don't know about you guys

This is the main issue, and I will take it further and say Sindhi's are screwed in the head.
