Let See How Amazing is Mathematics (1=2)

Well the exact answer is "79". Umaip answered it but I equested him to wait for someother members. Good Going.................

Todays question is very easy:

A cow gives 5 kg milk, A buffallo gives 3 kg milk and a goat gives 1/4 kg milk. Collect 19 kg of milk from maximum 7 animals.

Kindly explain the number of cows, buffalos and goats?
Note: They shouldn't be more than 7 in total?

Thanks for the answer FlyingEagle, that was a good one:tup:

Bahot bezti ho gayi, now I won't answer any based on guesses lol :sick:

Nope, The questions mentions they all divided rotis equally. So the share of DOG must be equal to the 3 guys (Not Possible) or dog gets no rotis at all (My Answer).

Well my friend umair I used more logic than math…....!!!!

This technique, put all the values in excel

http://img200.imageshack.us/i/71123449.png/

=G12-1 equal to First minus 1 for God (note: G12 is a column where 79 is written)

=G15/3*2 equal to Remaining when 2nd person wake up

=G15-G17 equal to 1st person consume

=G17-1 equal to Second minus 1 for dog

=G19/3*2 equal to Remaining when 3rd person wake up

=G19-G21 equal to 2nd person consume

=G21-1 equal to Third minus 1 for dog

=G23/3*2 equal to When all wake up

=G23-G25 equal to 3rd person consume

=G25-1 equal to Fourth minus 1 for dog

=G27/3 equal to No decimal

Now all u have to do is to change the values in G12 like 50, 51, 52……until u get “no decimal” answer

I did this on Paper:
x = y + y + y + 1 ( one y for first friend and 1 for Dog)
2y = z + z + z + 1( one Z for 2nd friend and 1 for Dog)
2z = u + u + u + 1( one u for 3rd friend and 1 for Dog)
2u = v + v + v + 1( one v for each friend and 1 for Dog)

now put values for u so that 2z is divisible by 3
I put different values and end up putting 7 that yeilded
2u = 7+7+7+1 = 22
u = 11
2z = 11+11+11+1 = 34
z = 17
2y = 17+17+17+1 = 52
y = 26
x = 26+26+26+1 = 79

FlyingEagle r u sure about all the animals???……because all we have to use 4 goats in order to get 1 kg milk or a non-decimal number……now 18 kg and 3 animals left and its impossible to get 18 kg milk with this combination…….means the now question is like:

Buffalo = 3 kg
Cow = 5 kg

We cannot use 3 animals to get 18 kg……its impossible even from cow…...!!!

Yes I confirmed it twice from my uncle (Who ask this from me). We have to collect from all the animals. I'm also looking for its solution.

2 cows and 3 buffaloes.. lets make kabab with those goats :D

there is only only and only 1 solution to this :
2 cows and 3 bufalloes.
If we must collect from all animals ,then since cows and bufalloes give integral number of kgs of milk,the milk collected from goats must also be an integral quantity.Since number of animals <=7,the only possible number of goats that can be milked is 4 giving 1kg of milk.rest 18 kgs must be collected from 3 animal at the max, which is not possible.The max we can collect from 3 animals is 15 kgs fom 3 cows.
so...no sol is possible if all the animals must be used

Yes, I just Disturbed by doing these calculations
:hitwall:
, It is Impossible to include Goats.
Let see what FlyingEagle bringing for us tomorrow.
