Brother PasbanAs I stated earlier, there are two types of action verbs in Farsi. This is where Farsi can become confusing for some but this is an important element of the language.
There are verbs where they do not conjugate them selves so you have to add another action verb (such as "kærdæn") to the verb. Then there are the verbs that can conjugate by themselves and do not need "kærdæn" to complete the verb, most of these verbs have "-dæn/-tæn" at the end of it.
Example:
Verbs that conjugate themselves:
pokhtæn = to bake/cook
khandæn = to read, to sing, to recite
neveshtæn = to write
khabidæn = to sleep
khordæn = to eat
Verbs that need "Kærdæn"
shena kærdæn = to swim
ashpæzi kærdæn = to cook
bazi kærdæn = to play
dorost kærdæn = to make/build
But the refugees from Afghanistan (namely Uzbeks) in Quetta used to speak something similar. I can understand them but have difficulty understanding the Persian poetry written by Iqbal.
i can speak in 6 languages but my chinese lesson was the........
go for Persian with Sheikh Saadi first
Dear Pasban I think if you can use both English and Persian alphabet is better.
Pakistani bros can learn faster if you can use Persian characters.even o me as a Persian speaker is hard to read in Finglish
Brother Pasban
1- i think learning from the script is easier than learning grammar
2- learning gerammar is borring for everyone
3- the most important point I think is we SHOULD be market oriented.that means need of learners must take in to account in the center of concern.
when readers tell(ask) you the way they learn, if we do not follow we will lose the readers. i think it is better to use Persian original scripts in order to keep readers
how many persian words are there in urdu language???how many arabic words are there in urdu language??
and also
how many arabic words are there in persian language.
You are very good bro, although I could see that Farsi is your second(or third) language, which is natural for everyone. By the way, Farsi and Dari is the same.
There is a difference brother, And being an Afghan you know that. At least we can call them different dialects. However both are sweet in their own ways!!

different dialects of English are still English, same here. I wish I could understand Dari though. I've seen a lot of Iranians communicating with Afghans like its nothing but I have a very hard time understanding dari speakers. I've never been good with languages.
Ahmad, have you noticed how Afghans can understand Iranian Persian easier than vise versa? I guess this is because our dialect is much less proper and yours is more by the book.
As you rightly mentioned about English and also other langauges, you get different accents/dialects, but the langauge is still the same. Having many many iranian, Tajiks of Tajikistan, Tajiks of Samarqand and Bukhara, i have little or no problem communicating with them. Even if there is a differnt word, we can easily understand it. That is all said when people are talking to each other informally, but if you speak to somebody formally, even the slightest difference will disappear, especially if a Tehrani speaks to someone from Kabul or Herat. yes, Persians of Afghanistan have no problem understanding iranians, after all they speak the same language.
Hey Buddy, Just want to know, How comfortable Afghans are with our language Hindi/Urdu? I mean If I meet & greet you will you be able and respond in the same way? I met one Afghan taxi driver in US who was very much comfortable with me in conversation and was listening ghazal sung by "Jagjit Singh" (It may be his marketing strategy as well) but I believe this was in effect of Indian/Pakistani people with whom he was staying with. Please enlighten me.

i understand Dari all, when Afghan brothers speak in Dari only accent is different. Persian and Dari and Tajiki all are same and had same name in past, only for political reasons Dari and Tajiki are not called Persian. but there is a Dari and Tajiki are very close to old or bookish Persian
