I don't know how much Wen family is worth, but these dumbass journalists are oblivious to the fact that unprecedented wealth was created in CHina over the last 20 years. Just because Wen is prominent politician, the law does't prohibit his family from running businesses. Just because their business is profitable, it doesn't mean the profit are from corruption.

1-4 trillion is kind of hard to believe, but power for money is definitely the norm among the red elite families that run state owned enterprises or resources.

The CCP just toppled the old gentry class and robbed their wealth under the slogan of "communism and sharing the wealth to the poor," and now replaced with their families. I blame the common Chinese that wanted a share of the robbed wealth, i.e. land reform, etc, etc that think the CCP members were some kind of saints that would really spread wealth to others.

Anyway, we have to accept the fact now that China is building up a new elite class, just like any other countries that haven't gone through revolutions and still have elite and well connected families. But we cannot afford another revolution, because when we topple this new elite class, we will just get another set of elites that will start a new cycle of looting and robbery, so why not just feed those already fat more fat and I am sure they will be fed up. What we need is more transparency and gradual democratization.

Are you intellectually challenged?? Having the word "corrupt" is not tantamount to the article reporting a specific case of corruption. The gist of the report is about offshore BVI account which is legal and transparent. It's not even the secretive Swiss bank account that we are talking.
