LCA tejas fighting fit

I'm not sure I've understood. Here's the media saying it was a bad example of Make in India gone berserk. Here's the media-watcher promptly announcing that the media have been bought. Why bought? Why not just derisive of the juxtaposition of the decision to procure more Tejas with the announcement of the Make in India initiative?

I was commenting on two references made in different posts of yours where you first made the point that the government was not involved but then went on make a comment about "56" which kind of suggested that those giving credit should not be doing so to Mr.Modi but anyone critiquing him on the very same issue was quite okay & no motive should be attributed there. I'm aware of your dislike for the government & the PM but that seemed more than a bit unfair.

And the explanation of this slew of hostile articles, from very different sources, is that there was a pay-master? Perhaps, could it have been the BJP itself, trying to claim credit and watching in horror as it backfired with precision and lasting damage?

Perhaps, and I'm sure there will be those who will make that argument. Only fair that a similar leeway be applied to comments coming in the opposite direction. Though if you look at these stories from the supposedly different sources, the only argument to make (since you have already demolished the substance of their claim) is to suggest they all caught a very nasty virus at the very same time which caused this mass outbreak of incompetence. Would you then not be interested in the source of the outbreak?:D

The target should be 18 per year, that way,IAF can induct one full squadron every year.
I guess they want to keep the line busy as long as mk2 isnt ready
If they are going for 16 per year....the production will complete in 7 n half years that is when mk2 comes out
Mk2 will go into serial production only after 2023-25

If they are producing more then production line will be empty for a couple of years(based on less orders and the delays that gonna happen) which will not be good for HAL

Lets see how all this turns out

I thought the induction process to be started from 22.

Hey man what is Production rate of Tejas..

I don't think anyone is really clear on that since there were no real orders prior to this decision. I have heard figures being thrown about but they hardly seem reliable since no one knows of whether & how quickly the line can be ramped up.

just compare the spects of Tejas with pakistani jf17 , Tejas has upper hand over JF17. another thing, unlike jf17, Tejas is made of carbon composites, while jf17 has aluminium body so tejas is more stealthy.
All info related to article is true and really a great achievement but still end result matter ,Your own air force is not willing to induct it .Regarding JF17 thunder has proved more than what it was meant to be .So calling other bakwas and your superior is an act of self obsession and short sighted ness.

I was Reading Your Post with Courtesy coz i thought U have a Valid Point .. but thn u went Ahead & wrote THIS .... & i stop reading ... WHY u have to demean any OTHER fighter Plane in order to Broadcast Ur 56" Aircraft .. Two decades in Drawing board .. still devoid of FOC ???

You can still present your point by stating why Tejas is better thn what it is going to replace or how it fits in your military AF Doctrine, or Cater to One dimension of full spectrum Capability ??

thr is A thing Called Inferiority Complex .. try getting OUT of it .... it brings NO Good !
It is So not Good tht U have to bring tht "Tin Can" in your post to prove a point ... ! Sad

I am flummoxed to note that if the LCA Tejas is damned as an obsolete fighter, then the entire squadrons of Chinese and Pakistani fighters would qualify as virtual tin cans. For example, the much touted Chinese JF-17 Thunder (often referred to as Blunder is many forums) by the Pakistanis is a Mikoyan MiG-21 in disguise or the J-10B is all but a spruced up Israeli Lavi Fighter which both are decades old.
