What's new

LCA Mark II will immediately replace Mig-29 in IAF: Air Marshal

After that Aesa equipped tejas production rate will beat JF 17 production rate.
It's already 24 on one production line.

With 4000 successful flights tejas has proven its reliability. A Chinese jet like Jf17 would have had multiple crashes in this period.
Many of JFT have hauled flying hours more them you wrote and JFT fleet has logged19,000+ cumulative flight hours.

Well 2 known crashes in PAF and god knows how man hidden by the chinese. Let's not try to defend Chinese quality here.

Lca uses an American engine. Should appreciate American quality.

2 crash in 12 year not bad record indeed and what is yours in vedic, cow piss, out of this universe, 1000000000000000000000000 gen ahead from rest of the world fighter jets junk Tej@$$ except mission computer @Darwin ;):enjoy:

So a light fighter whose current prototype faced unmatched development mismanagement and delays is expected to evolve into a version that will supplant a highly successful fighter with greater payload and maneuvering capacity along with being well loved by many of its pilots in the IAF?
Ruse, to ensure we keep buying foreign maal. Taxpayer ka maal afterall.

Americans make the best planes though the French are a close 2nd.

Still much worse than the tejas with a zero accident rate. I understand being a Pakistani it burns but it's the fact on the ground.

Every working machine is prone to breakage.India has crashed lot of planes in past 2 decades,should we start judgeing quality of OEM products by your crash rate.
2 crashes and as @Hassan Guy said 40000 flying hours,that's really lowest amount of crashes and JFT fleet is flying all the time.

:lol::lol::lol: Thanks to west for making Tej@$$ , it is a LATE COMING AIRCRAFT @Darwin :lol::lol::lol:;):enjoy:
And the fc - 1 is a Pakistani plane? Haha.
You guys didn't even trust a Chinese engine and bought a Russian one.
Factually no comparison between a modern plane like tejas with Indian integration of various systems and a totally bought out plane like fc1 which the chinese won't fly in their AF.
Unless u are in engineering u can't understand what making a modern complex equipment like tejas entails.

Frankly don't trust the 40000 hrs claim. Would need a reference. Wiki says 19000 hrs till 2016.
And the chinese are famous for even hiding rocket crashes, we have no figures for no of their crashes.

Butthurt you Indian troll in development FC-1 there was no Chinese engine, even their first engine was completed after 2008 WS-10, can count the foreign tech on Tej@$$, and as for design you out of the universe, vedic , cow piss, 1000000000000000000 gen ahead is based on canceled ATLAS CARVAR (SOUTH AFRICA) and Mirage-4000 (FRANCE) here it is
ENGINE=USA
RADAD=ISRAELI
FLY BY WIRE TECH= ALSO TESTED AND DEVELOP BY USA
LANDING GEAR =BOEING (USA)
AVIONICS=FRENCH, ISRAELI, SOME INDIAN (MISSION COMPUTER)
WEAPONS= ISRAELI,FRENCE,UK,RUSSIAN AND SOME INDIANS

we did took apart from day-1 for all R&D phases for JF-17 project and as for JF-17 is not inducted by PLAAF is a lame excuse, JF-17 build for especially for PAF, they are bigger country (4th biggest country by an area) they need bigger plane with long range/bigger payloads to cover vast swath of their country that's why they wont induct JF-17 to PLAAF @Darwin ;):enjoy:

GAY SHUPA DUPA POWA HIND @Darwin :lol::lol::lol::suicide::suicide2::man_in_love::sarcastic:

They are always in hangers,never flown.

From what I've learned via an most interesting guy, who is well connected to the IAF, neither HAL, ADA or the IAF have a full understanding on how the Mark II will differ from the Mark I and IA.

There are currently concepts under consideration ranging from a massively modified airframe similar to the current LSP-types to concepts about 1m longer, with a new and different wing + canards but structure-wise de facto they have to redesign the whole type.

The LCA Mk2 is still in the design stage, but the final design is expected to be frozen pretty soon. Check post 44 for one of the canard designs.

Anyway, it is expected to be in the same class as the Gripen E. It will have an MTOW of 17.5T versus the 13.5T for LCA Mk1A.
