a massive bombing near the Wagah border claimed over 60 lives in Lahore. The bombing at Wagah was followed by the terrorist attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School in December which claimed over 140 lives — with most of the victims being children and students at the institution.

The Dec 16 attack resulted in the formulation of a National Action Plan to counter terrorism which also saw a parliamentary consensus on the formation of military courts in the country as well as renewed resolve to counter religious extremism by cracking down on terror financing and regulating madrassahs. The government also rolled back the moratorium on capital punishment following which a number of convicted terrorists have been hanged in jails across the country.

Since the government set the NAP rolling, the country has seen a number of terrorist attacks — the major ones being attacks on imambargahs in Rawalpindi, Shikarpur and Peshawar.

lets not point fingers at each other like we did on Peshawar incident . we should stand united against TTP

Punjab govt needs to wake up

Allah bless the Shaheed. What else is there to say now? The state and federal government isn't serious about eradicating this menace. The army moves and can only fix the problem short-term. Long -term solutions are just not on the horizon.

Is there any other agency in PK which has the ability to resolve this crisis besides the PA

Need to Build USA Homeland Security like Setup to get rid of them otherwise they would going to continue with their Killing Spree.

Political leadership doesn't have the intellectual ability to counter in such manner.
Someone has to do something about it so I still have my hopes on COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif and his associates to build something like it if they truly wants to counter this threat. Lets hope for the best on that one.

You cant blame them. After all they also have fear about their own lives.
So then who will protect the lives of common man in Pakistan If not the govt & opposition?

Political leadership doesn't have the intellectual ability to counter in such manner.
Infact they Don't they any except, crouption ?

An absolute relevant question mate .
But sorry dude this is the basic human nature or a usual practice in this world .VIP culture.

Based on the pictures seems to have been a fairly high enough intensity blast. May the bastards who planned this attack be caught and tried in military courts then sent to the gallows

RIP to the brave people who perished

We send our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. The terrorists have once again shown their evilness through this act of terror. The series of suicide attacks in the recent weeks prove the terrorists remain focused on destabilizing the country. We repeat what Rear Admiral John Kirby said recently: "It is for Pakistan to continue the fight against terrorism in its own interest as Pakistanis have been victims of terror. And it's a shared threat, a shared challenge that we have, and we have maintained an interest in helping them deal with, and that will continue."

We recognize the Pakistani security forces are doing their best to counter the growing threat of terrorism in the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is affected by this act of terror. We stand united with the nation of Pakistan and wish to see peace prevail throughout the region.

Dude, you are not in Pakistan so, you can still, write a book on VIP culture round the world but we are burrying our dear ones Because of the cowardness of our political elites & we Don't forgive them for that.

Please don't blame your Government. Its the menace Pakistan has self created for long time. This is what happens when You plan to burn the Neighbour's House. Your Forces always try to de-stablize the Neighbors , now your innocent Citizens are paying the Price. I am sure these "SCUMs" would be treated as Brothers if they would have been doing the same inside India.

Political leadership doesn't have the intellectual ability to counter in such manner.

Absolutely WRONG perspective of Thought. What else you can expect from a Country whose Citizens don't have a proper Understanding of Politics. Your Diplomats have proved them Time & again by failing Miserably time to time.
As the whole World knows, Pakistan is in the verge of Self-Destruction due to its Self Proclaimed Army, who, never allowed Politics of their Country to get matured enough but time & again created the Military Coup which has done nothing Significant by only weaken the roots of this Country.
Pakistan would be doing Good if it would have been directed by a stable Democracy with matured Enough Politics. But, Alas, what can be the faith of a Country whose only aim is to let down his neighbour. I can only say "Best of Luck" who are still there in Pakistan. Keep trying, you may stay alive!!!!

I would very much disagree with the notion that terrorism is exclusive creation of pakistani army. If that was the case isis syria libya iraq should all be traceable to pakistan.
What we are dealing with is khwarij mentality; and thats why isis; ttp and terrorist in libya are so closely similar like twin brothers. This has nothing to do with india and no matter how much our neighbours think they are relevant here; they are actually irrelevant..khwarij has been there since time of hazarat ALI bin abi talib ( RA) and osama bin laden seem to be the one who introduced this ideology to afghanistan..he was local of arabia like most of khwarij throughout the history were...

TTP has been declared as terrorists right??? There were several statements from lot of politicians after peshawar attack.....

Yes lots of the politicians has condemned the terrorists attack in Peshawar & else where in Pakistan but still they hasnt named TTP, as the terrorist, That's the sad story.

Yes we should stand united against the terrorists, but unfortunately we are not united.
The impotent govt has no interest in Op Zarb-e-Azb......nor they have any interest to maintain law & order in Pakistan.

Is this govt. any better than Asi Ali Zardari or not?
