Have they provided financial assistance? Yes. Does this benefit Pakistan in the long run? No. If we want to be an independent nation then we have to face the hard task of standing on our feet. At the moment there is no such incentive for our leaders since they know that if things go bad, then rather than implementing much needed economic reforms they can simply go to the Saudis and ask them to bail us out. However no country provides financial assistance with no strings attached and the interference of these Khaleeji states in our domestic sphere is destroying the long term security of our nation.
