Catch 22 situation for Pakistan here.

Though you got to admire their firm stance on neutrality. A smart decision but looking at their overdependence on Arabs for financial political and other means it is very difficult to see how they will sustain it.
we simply cannot throw our Army to go and die for someone else's war

Only Turkey is reliable partner among all Islamic countries.

No one is reliable, National Interest...:p:

Apparently, this doesn't have anything to do with Pakistan's Parliament decision regarding Yemen. :super:

The decision has noting to do with neutrality. Pakistan cannot have two enemies on ether side: India and Iran. Covertly Pakistan wants to help Saudi, but cannot do. Hence so many different voices have come from Pakistan over the past few days.

But where Pakistan underestimated was : Arab anger. They didn't anticipated this.

i think yes, with the current COAS, he wont let PM do anything stupid
The pressure would be on the COAS

Remember your security commitments are between the two armies

General Raheel is as much as political stakeholder to this considering the technicalities between the two countries

Anyway I hope you guys maintain the stand. A Pakistani Army action in Yemen will become a quicksand pit for your soldiers.

Saudis are acting like a 2 year old.

no doubt, it even scares me that they will be under the command of a Saudi general lol

Yes - National interests are first, But in mutual friendship, a friend understand the limits and constraints of other and respects the decisions . for example on Uyghur issue we stand with China not Turkey, but Turkey never tried to force Pakistan to toe her line.

It has everything to do with decision

Both Iranians and Saudis have gone berserk. Pakistan should stay neutral. Better to eat grass then live on few dollars from these insane. Looks like Europe before WWI in Europe ready for war but not ready to pay the price in lives so they need others to fight for them. Peace is harder than war but worth the price. Both Saudi and UAE bankrolled Saddam in 10 year war with Iran. Pakistan and Turkey are not fools.
