إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ‎‎

This phenomenon didn't leave any Muslim country alone!!!

.
What was so liberal about your thinking?
Lol
Lol, i'm talking in general... I think religion should be a personal thing to you and the way you view it may be a little different to me as long as you try to be a good person, it's fine.
I try not to bring religion into everyday work, social life.

How is that different to 99 percent of Pakistanis?

At most people would just say pray more or be morally right.

Unless you break the law nobody really gives a hoot.

At most Pakistanis in general tend to avoid deep religious issues because each is somehow afraid of being wrong lol

This Terrorism is a foreign phenomenon in Pakistan and Pakistani society.

Its the sheer frustration or fanaticsm by just a minute percentage which is being exploited left right and center.

First of all I never said I think differently to other Pakistanis, if you want to pray or chose not to that's not my problem... It's your choice, it's your life... Not mine.
The difference is The Mosque is not my second home and for those who it is a second home... That's fine if you look at the wider picture and don't take the book's meaning literally. The Quran is somewhat 1400 years old and lots has changed, we need to adjust it for today's world.
Terrorism is cancer to the world and it has no religion.
I think it's wrong that Pakistan is an Islamic Republic... The white represents the other religions..
Women are equal to men and if they wish to work then so let them.

Pakistanis usually go for to each his own policy in general.

About the Quran. Well we can apply that above mentioned philosophy right now. Lol

And women should decide their own ways. Who are we men to speak for them.

So you agree with my Quran part and the women part.
Do you think being an Islamic Republic is the right thing, if so... Why?

I agree with to each his own principle.
Qur'an is not 1400 years old. It is as new as the moment you open it regardless of years months or days.

Women can only be equal if they want to be.
Constitution of Pakistan allows them to work in whatever field they like and even have benefits of quota system.
Its your culture that doesn't allow them to work not your religion. We are facing shortage of skilled workers because women study and then are staying home most part their life. So blame your education system first.

And Pakistan is an Islamic conception. You take it out you are nothing. My POV.

You can vote for a party which mandates a redraw of Constitution of Pakistan 1973.

Hint: if a dictator couldn't do it in 2005. No civilian will do it.

Stop idealising false narratives and relish the reality.

I agree; Pakistan was created on the bases of religion however pre Bhutto/Zia time we were liberal, somewhat like Turkey. There were no mullah's beating people up for listenting to music or going to watch a film.

The women at home thing is a cultural problem, can't be any more correct; best example is Indonesia where most women work despite it being a Muslim country however covering the women and keeping them at home is wrong. Let the women make the judgement.
I'm proud that I see women in politics and media outlets in large numbers.

Pakistan was never liberal as per definition of liberalism young people are sold these days.

Tailor your laws to your society is the basic building block of a civilisation.

You guys borrow culture with education. Instead of borrowing just education.

Muslims now prefer a secular Renaissance over an Islamic Renaissance.

Recipe for disaster.

.
for example why was the intelligence report ignored and to my understanding there were operations conducted in Punjab

I thought the operation in south punjab was not given the go ahead by civilian government or something like a limited operation.

.
@El Sidd @Lahore_PAF If you gents like to discuss liberalism, secularism, religion or whatever, there are other threads. This is about Lahore blast. Please stick to the topic.

.
This was the turning point in Pakistan's history. Pakistan has never been the same again.

An anti-Zia journalist being publicly flogged in Rawalpindi (1979).

Indian and foreign funded Afghan terrorists have again killed innocent civilians and law enforcement. It is high time that the war is taken to them deep inside Afghanistan or India.

.
Interesting comments here ....

Just replace Afghanistan with Pakistan and Pakistan with India.

You can't replace Afghanistan with Pakistan. The difference is too big to ignore and replace. Even with your low Indian IQ you can understand that.
