1. If Karachi's population has gone up higher then noted where has it come from?
(a) Natural high birth rate
(i) Which group or groups have had high birth rates?

2. Internal migration from within Pakistan.
(a) High migration rates
(i) Which group/groups have had high migration into Karachi.

3. External migration from outside Pakistan.
(a) Where has this come from?
(i) Which groups have had highest numbers?

And has the increase from any of these groups been reflected in increase in political party of any group within the city?

Also I bet you didn't read the news link in my last post. Places like Malir and Gadap were excluded as rural areas. This is Malir, from where does it look rural?

Malir had.been designated ad rural area of Karachi as per sindh gov notification.Go and ask sind gov to revoke this notification.

And whether rural or urban malir has been included as part of Karachi population .

Lahore have witnessed largest migration from Karachi and Sindh, due to political reasons.
For other reasons there's constant migration in to Lahore:
- Airport, most of overseas Pakistanis belonging to other cities of Punjab also decide to settle in Lahore.
- Educational reasons, lot of visitors from surrounding cities also live in Lahore.
- Available Jobs and health facility many young and old also settle in Lahore.
- Judiciary, constantly people visit Lahore.
- Tourism, also attract daily crowd.
Basically 40% of Lahori population on any given day, isn't born in Lahore. During eid holidays, most of those new settlers tend to travel to their birth places.

True, just go to Saddar and other downtown Karachi areas, there is a sea of humans. Places like Liaquatabad, Bahadurabad, Karimabad, Jauhar, Waterpump, everywhere you can see heavy conjestion. Hardly I've seen places so pack in Lahore, Peshawar or anywhere else.

Gadap town is the largest town in karachi in terms of land area but also the least populated compared with towns like landhi,orangi,lyari,nazimabad etc.These towns have higher population density thats why there is congestion which has been worsened by not investing in transport.

It’s important to improve infrastructure in other cities. Spending 60% of punjab budget on Lahore doesn’t make sense.

For administrative purpose we need North and South Sindh province. PTI government can easily fix these issues. PPP provincial government previously money laundering all the development funds to Dubai but now they can’t do that.

Its roads needs to widened, cleaned, need a new airport, new highways to cope ever increasing traffic problem of Lahore....a population of 11.4 m is staggering.

Lahore needs a new master plan.

Not twice, thought Karachi is certainly big, but Lahore is almost 11.5 million vs Karachi 15 m not far.

Yes we need new modern cities in Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan.

As far as Lahore is concerned urgently needs a new Master Plan and new Skyscrapers structures in Lahore, to cater booming population at fast rate.
