Saudi Arabia and Turkey signed on Tuesday key industrial and defense pacts.
Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, inked the deals with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu at the Cankaya Palace in Ankara.
The ceremony was attended by President Abdullah Gul of Turkey and Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi minister of foreign affairs, among others.
Gul earlier welcomed Prince Salman and stressed that the two countries have very strong relations. Both leaders discussed outstanding bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments.
Gul later held a luncheon in honor of the crown prince which was attended by members of the Saudi delegation and senior Turkish ministers.
In the evening, Salman received separately at his guest residence FM Davutoglu and Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz.
A statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Salman exchanged cordial talks and views with Datuvoglu "on the latest developments in the Middle East, including the position of each country on them and discussed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields."
In the other meeting, Salman and Yilmaz "reviewed military cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them and discussed the latest developments at the regional and international arenas."
Crown Prince Salman's delegation includes Prince Saud; Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chief of the crown prince's court and his special adviser; Minister of State and Cabinet member Musaed Al-Aiban; Culture and Information Minister Abdulaziz Khoja; Economy and Planning Minister Mohammed Al-Jasser; Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Hussein, deputy chief of General Staff; Gen. Abdulrahman Al-Bunyan, director of the Office of the Crown Prince; Saudi Ambassador to Turkey Adel Siraj Mirdad; and Commodore Mohammed Al-Shehail, Saudi military attaché in Ankara.
