Krishna meets Karzai, India expresses support;India's interest will be kept in mind

As far as we think India belongs to Pakistan as well.

You should read history of Hydrabad Daccan, Juna-garh and Munawar besides Kashmir.

come on we know how fabricated is Pakistan's History :what: nothing offensive guys but Pakistani history books have totally tampered accounts.

Well said, the whole world belongs to us, as human beings. =)

Anyways.

I got some news, but not a good one.

Just heard that some Mr.Whatever (the ex-ambassador of USA to India) suggested to divide Afghanistan and create a separate state in Pakhtun majority Taliban controlled regions and hand it over to Talibans while keeping the allied forces in rest of the regions of Afghanistan and carry on the hunt for OBL. This idea is gathering support from different lobbies.

No source found yet. But I Hope it doesn't happen otherwise it will lead to a bigger mess for the region and specially Afghanistan!!

express your opinion please..

Well bro, interesting thing in this news is that, practically this is possible!!!. Strictly speaking anybody would say that such a move would bring more destabilisation to this part but u see , slowly if the US decides pieces will fall into place. You will be surprised that even both our govts would be saying this is a good step in future :cheesy:

The reasons would be like

Till now many foreign armies tried to take Afghanistan but none succeeded because the Afghans are great fighters. Who take no quarter and give no quarter. Even the great British empire suffered the most humiliating defeats infact three times i think, here. Look what happened to the Red army just because of a few modern arms in the hands of the mujahideen.

The important thing is their unity, which is no more now so this helps the US and party. Also the people of AFG who are slowly settling to post-talib rule and have become reasonbly free wouldn't want to go back to hell right so they also could accept to this though painful.

Such a move will help the NATO forces since they will have a war free zone where they could refresh and resupply themselves. All the interested parties like US and rest, India and China also would like to see reasonable stability to further invest in this war ravaged country to get this new market.

Solving the problem of Afghanistan could also be helpful in the longrun for Middle east since the Alqaeda would loose its safe haven. Though one can argue its already happened but seeing the situation in world, i think otherwise. Ur free to opose ofcourse.

i think theree is already a thread for this. if true, and if it happnes on the grounnd, then pakistan will suffer more than anybody else.

Karzai is playing the perfect double game (good for Afghans) of accomodating both India and Pakistan and playing the tune of whoever is visiting.

We should have rather supported Abdhullah Abdhullah for the presidency.....

.
Why would Pakistan suffer?

First of all it will create an ethnic based division line between south and north+west on the other side. those areas to be left to the taliban are mostly located along the border with pakistan. this can easily put an unofficial unification of pashtoons of 2 country, there will probably be a deeper ethnic issues which will affect afghanistan and pakistan too, besides that, the terrorist taliban will take advantage of this to strenghten their postions.

I don't think Pakistani Pukhtoons would want anything to do with the taliban since they have been the most affected by the taliban. Plus there was a recent survey showing that the popularity of the taliban was the lowest in Khyber-P out of all the provinces. And Pakistanis Pukthoons are very patriotic Pakistanis so I don;t think they would ever want any type of unification. Can't speak for the Afghan Pukhtoons though. Anyways I highly doubt that Afghanistan will be divided, it was just a dumb comment by some random ambassador. Afghans may wish for the division of Pakistan but we certainly do not want your country to be divided.

it remains to be seen, but based on my experience, it is highly likely what i said.

Refer to the bold part of your comment, afghans dont want division of Pakistan, but there are some ethno nationalist people who have breakup of pakistan in mind, although non pasthtoon of afghanistan would never wish for the disintegration of paksitan.

.
US is not going anywhere not before Mullah Omer and Bin laden are sent to hell...Obama will not be in power for long. After November the dems will lose the House and maybe the senate.

did you day dream??
USA will not leave the place because its the best training ground on earth for Americans to train their soldiers in a live battle field.

Well I have noticed that usually its the Afghan Pukhtoons who have some misguided notion that Khyber-P, FATA, and Balochistan belongs to Afghanistan and that they don't accept the durand line and all that. And theres seems to be a lot of them who think that way. Anyways like i said its very unlikely Afghanistan will be divided, US said the same thing about Iraq and it never happened. I hope Afghanistan stabilizes soon, it'll be good everyone.

and do you blame them for this? pakistan have always had ethnic based Afghan policy, fuelling ethnic tensions was always on the card for pakistan.

And theres seems to be a lot of them who think that way.

i dont think it is correct to say alot, majority of people in afghanistan consider NWFP as integrated part of pakistan, at least i can garuantee the attitude of non pashtoons here.

I hope Afghanistan stabilizes soon, it'll be good everyone

thanks brother.

Well if I am not mistaken, it was Afghanistan who started this whole thing way before the taliban era when they tried to invade Pakistan in the 50's to take Khyber-P and FATA. But still they have no legitimate to those areas, nor do the people of those areas want to join with Afghanistan. Anyways that all in the past, we should be looking towards the present and future for solutions. I meant a lot of Afghan Pukthoons think that way, of course not all of them might not but theres a good amount who do.

Btw I'm a girl lol
