What's new

Krishna Leela Temple Bangalore

Again, what part of this are you NOT understanding.

The people spending money on this want to spend money here. It is their money, that they have earned in their lives. They have the right to decide what to do with it.

When you earn, you are free to open whatever you want with it provided its legal. But please dont impose your self-righteousness on what others should do with what they earn.

please stop quoting me

This may attract thousands of tourists daily Just like Akshardham Temples in Delhi and Ahmedabad so not bad considering economical point of view.

And my point is - who are we to decide whether an economical POV is the only POV worth taking or considering.

load of crap,,,,a better education will be far bettter to these people than this temple will ever be

truth really stings btw

i am really surprised people are defending it

I am surprised that it's coming as a surprise to you. Do you know how similar you sound to people who decree what others should do just so that it suits their senses and sensibilities?

How well versed are you with ISKCON's activities? Are you sure that they do not undertake any activity fo the betterment of the society with their funds even though they need not?

Have you funded ISKCON?
Has ISKCON mandated you to provide funds for their cause?
Has ISKCON urged you to mandatorily visit the temple upon it's construction?
Has ISKCON forcibly tried to usurp anyone's wealth for their cause?

Is every Organization in this World, be it spiritual or materialistic, really altruistic?

If the answer to these questions is No, then I see no reason why ISKCON has to be singled out for criticism. They are simply proving that their Organization is as Human as any other out there. Nothing divine about them, but nothing offensive either.

i don't even know its an iskcon temple btw.............i just saw a huge temple and gave opinion.
i couldn't care less who is making the temple.

all i care is why more temples??

and the response in pdf has been pathetic to say the least

I agree with you. But I also am curious about the outcome if every monument in history had been subjected to this scrutiny. What would we have inherited then? A lot of training centres instead of the likes of Taj Mahal, Brihadeeshwara Temple etc perhaps?

Moreover, Organizations like ISKCON run on the finances of their Bhaktagann. Who are we to dispute what they do with their money? Capitalism 101.:)

I had been contacted many times to become Bhaktgan with ISKCON but I refused, one really need courage to adapt to strict lifestyle there.

Sir Jee I didn't impose my views on them or anyone for that matters. Everyone thinks according to his/her virtues. If there is a religious man, he will think about it religiously similarly since I am not very religious(but proud about my religion) I am considering it with business point of view.

Is it so hard to comprehend? Why do we want more of anything? Why are you advocating for more Computer Centres? The answer is the same: To cater better for an increasing population.

You might not be all that spiritual or religious, but that does not give you the right to question others about where they choose to find their source of solace and vice versa.

stupidity remains stupidity irrespective of how many people follow it.

majority of pakistan backs al-queda for example

ISKCON is joined by manly professionals and they donate huge for the organization and also follow the strict lifestyle.

they have 0 contribution to overall society.........i have little regard for such organizations

Jai Shree Krishna, I go to the Watford temple which has it's own farm donated by George Harrison

ISKCON is a fine organisation they help out in prisons, promote eco-protection and I often help out in their kitchens and we distribute food to poor and those that can not afford.

Those people hating on ISKCON are selfish souls who do not do anything for their brothers or sisters.

They also involved in social services like Akshaya Patra but their members also donate to build new temples as ISKCON followers are very religious.
