KP's new Female Elite Police Commando force unit !

For the first time in history, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to induct female police commandos, currently being trained to fight militancy in the province.

Some 35 female police commandos are undergoing training at the Nowshera police training centre. Officials said that K-P Inspector General Police Nasir Durrani felt that female police commandos needed to be included in the force and decided to impart special training to the female police.

“Some 35 female police commandos have voluntarily offered their services to join the group and will be imparted five months of training at par with the elite force male members,” Momin Baig, a commandant at the Nowshera police training center told The Express Tribune.

“After the training, female commandos will be capable of using all kinds of modern weapons,” he added.

They will be provided the same training imparted to elite force male members in the province and will be ready to confront all kinds of challenges, including the fight against militants.

Baig further said more female commandos will be trained for K-P police once the first batch joins the police.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Musarrat Bibi, a commando under training said, “I wanted to join the group because I wanted to tell the world that women in K-P could also obtain commando training and fight terrorism.”

on serious note - great step indeed! they should be used effectively to interrogate kin of suspected terrorists and to fight terrorists themselves because they cant kill women in fear of being denied the 72 virgins (little do they know they're only going to get the lowest layer of hell)

This commando unit will perform field duty, sting operations included.

recently a female police officer was involved in catching an important taliban terrorist... she was rewarded too, probably I shared in the dedicatedd thread

Maybe a myth, but this notion that militants fear women fighters is being circulated in media off and about the stories covering Kurdish women fighters, a link as below:

Good step but they look like female version of ISIS fighters. They need a proper uniform. I don't know whose ruling KPK, PTI or JI??

this is police administration's choice, if females are comfortable this way, we shouldnt try to enforce our way of life upon them. besides its a big step in itself that they are coming out to do jobs, a society that is so conservative that dont allow women to go out of their homes at their own.. so lets prefer to appreciate steps in right direction.

p.s. I have no problem with their appearance, as long as they kick some criminal arse

well airforce is not inducting them anymore.
