KP Faces a Flour Crisis as Punjab Cuts Wheat Supply

Everyone in kpk knows everything gets smuggled to Afghanistan. From chicken to dry fruits, but the only people that dont know are the ones with the power to do anything. All their big pockets have blinded their eyes


Fabrication of documents and stamps. There needs to be a fully functional border crossing not just a gate. All imports and exports need to be monitored.

Afghanistan should've been annexed by now.

The smuggling was happening which resulted in recent increase of price. Otherwise there was no need to ban wheat supply to Afghanistan from KP.

Till recently FATA was under control of federal govt and thus province couldn't do much about it. There used to be smuggling both ways but after fencing, most of those hidden and illegal crossings have been sealed. Hes the paperwork and stamp change stuff happens, that even happens on karachi port.
I recently visited torkham border and saw the xray scanning machine, even checked the scanner room and how they scan it, its a good system but therebis just one scanner. Alot of work is going on for construction of modern terminals.

I would not say at full speed but its moving ahead. The local authorities said that once Pakistan started 24/7 operation of border, the afghans stopped it and said they cannot handle 24/7 operations. Currently there are about 2 to 3 km queues of loaded trucks from Pakistan side. The new terminal will make things easy but given the afghans cooperate.
Also i heard from them that a 6 lane motorway will be extended from the M1 motorway to torkham border.

Just annex it already. This is ridiculous how long its taking
