The North Korean military are well trained, disciplined and indoctrinated to protect the country. And the people are indoctrinated to be docile. So the country is unlikely to have a East Germany style of breakup. In the event such breakup do arise from external factors, the generals and the military have the wherewithal to stabilize the country until China steps in to assist, perhaps, a regime change.

The North Korean military is filled with soldiers whose growth are stunted from birth due to PERSISTENT malnutrition.

To the extent that they ever get to meet South Koreans, the North Koreans are likewise shocked. When two diminutive North Korean soldiers, ages 19 and 23, accidentally drifted into South Korea on a boat, one reportedly was overheard saying they would never be able to marry South Korean women because they were "too big for us," according to an account in the book "The Two Koreas," by Don Oberdorfer.

The soldiers were repatriated to the North at their own request.

The North Koreans appear to be sensitive about their stature. In dealings with the outside world, the country likes to present a tall image by sending statuesque (by North Korean standards) athletes to joint sporting events in South Korea and elsewhere and assigning the tallest soldiers to patrol at the demilitarized zone that divides the two countries.

It doesn't matter. Compared to PLA army in Korean war, they are much better fed, much better equiped and much deeper intoxicated. During Korean war time average Chinese soldier is probably over 20cm shorter and much thinner compared to UN soldiers, and we all know how the war turned out. On the SK side it is a group of soldiers grew up listening K-pop and playing computer games. And there're still people believe the war will end in a week and SK can blow the dust away like nothing has happened. No one says SK soldiers are cowards, but this thread is about SK threaten NK with a strike. I call it insanity instead of bravery. The OP has perfectly demonstrated this by comparing NK/SK war with US/Iraq war.

Because we are evil and you are saint of the world
You said it, not me. But answer the question anyway. We and South Korea have a vibrant trade relationship. We do not need to 'feed' the South Koreans. So why is North Korea somehow 'entitled' to our food? It is as if whenever something bad happens in a communist country due to their own screw-ups, it becomes the responsibility of the West to help them.

Yeah...Guess who lost more men? You think that today's US and South Korea is the same as yesterday?
