Kolkata ship-building yard interests Bangladesh

Lol- Still all foreign.

Once India has an all Indian built ship then brag.

As per your logic, Boeing planes are foreign and not manufactured by USA (Hydraulic systems are outsourced to Europe, Canada.... some subsystyems are Japanese and so on), and also, India/ China along with EU is a joint manufacturer of Airbus planes (many composites come from China, electronics are from India, etc.).

Point is, in todays globalised world, a company (irrespective of any country) generally incorporates features from many suppliers (most of them from other countries). What matters is the integration, supply chain and the end product.

Surprising that you stay in UK and still have weird logics about globalisation like these. And yeah, BTW, when our Destroyers and Frigates will be bombing the enemies, I don't think whther the radars/ engines or whatever are jv or not will matter much

JV products are still foreign ? Any more retarded statements ?

Brahmos has as a high degree of localisation-probabily more than those ukranian gas turbine used in indigenous Chinese ships.

Thats the whole point of this, WE ARE NOT ASKING AND HAVE NEVER ASKED to buy. Its your indian journalist who wrote a stupid article that implied just because the DG of the coast guard visited we wanted to buy...and the stupid clueless journo said we dont have the ship yards...:hitwall:

of course Bangladesh has more capability than India in building warships no doubt :) they don't need it.

According to an 'elite' bangladeshi member here,Bangladesh can build aircraft carriers on its own-that's when they havent even build a ship heavier than 8000DWT.

no, they will make the carrier super light weight using carbon composites and other alloys, which will weight less than 8000 DWT. It's latest. When they can win WC2015 in quarter-finals then this is also not impossible

Is it ur comment or on behalf of the bangladesh goverment? Anyways man if u want we will sell.we dont need to brag.or the better option wud be to buy from chinese and pakistani friends and make it in ur own shipyard. With their supa dufa engineers u may even build a composite high tech ship and u gain experience in shipbuilding.and dont forget to ask ur friends to install DSI or watever it is called like they installed in the jf 17.i know its impossible.but i believe they wud surely develope a navalised dsi for ur ships .cheers boy.

Hi
Just for fun, Some 2 weeks back a subsidiary of Jindal group ordered transport ships from WSY Bangladesh instead of ordering from an Indian yard. If we can't convince Indians to by Made in India product then why brag about something which might be upon thin ice?
I have immense respect for our capabilities and shipyards but articles like this and others claiming India to be a supa pawa and Beware China actually insults us.
Cheers
Thanks

Hi this is what my Bengali friend explained to me in short.

Western Marine Ship yard of Bangladesh's local private ship building industry to make 10 cargo ships for Indian industrial group Jindal.
The deal is already finalized in Mumbai between two companies. The Jindal group of India to pay $65 million USD to Western Marine Shipyard, Bangladesh in this deal.
In first phase 6 ships will be delivered in 18 month.

Thanks

No offence brother but Do u have any doubt of india becoming a super power.?.and nobody said india is a super power.if u notice anyone who is saying it just see that there is always a 'will b"in that sentence".yea may be its too early to say that now but it "will b" a super power when u and i all die like in 2080..and about zindal buying ships from bangladesh .i dont know abt it.if u hav source .post it..may be its coz our shipyards were full of orders.and u kno even if u have the technolgy and know how to build a thing.sometime u hav to order it from somewhere else for some unexpected reasons unavoidable reasons.usa ordered a submarines from sweeden kockums that does not mean usa cant makee submarine in us.they r the best .russia ordered lpds from france do u believe russia dont have that capability to build lpds? Its no big deal man..cheers

Hi Sir I have no concrete link to to. Whatever I had I posted it before your post.

On the matter of ordering ships, if I go by your way that Indian shipyards are full. Actually it's not. HSL is during for orders, Pipavav and ABG are also working at 1/4th there capacity. The ships the ordered were 120 meters 8000 tons displacement ships.

Thanks

Man the ships ur reffering are civilian or trnsport ships and not of 8000 tons. All indian public shipyard are full except hsl which is a defence shipyard so i dont think they make transport ships for privte compns Just my guess.i dont know abt prvt shipyards in india and the shipyard unders shipping ministry build this kind of ships..as i said there may b some unavoidable reasons for jindal to buy from somewhre else.maybe they r gettin it cheap from thre.who knows
