Actually we PDF Indians here are all obsessed with Pakistan to some extend. We might not realize it but that's what keeps us sticking to this forum even after all the insults made against India in general & Hindus in particular.

The opening post is not wrong however, and neither are the hypocrites. The partition was a very North Indian affair(even though the Bengalis supported it more than the actual people partitioned). Which is also why the North Indians and Pakistanis are generally much more bitter about each other and also nostalgic as compared to the Bengalis(and Indian Bengal).

The partition was a indeed an North Indian affair. Who denied it & how can anyone deny it. But it's also a fact that many Muslims even in places like Malabar were fanatical for creation of Pakistan. And the Hindus living there were bewildered by such fanaticism.

The idea of an independent Muslim homeland was fairly attractive, both from a "pan-Islamic" PoV and from an economic PoV. Sadly, a lot of Muslims who came over from Malabar to Karachi for their home found themselves being marginalized by the larger ethnicities.

Even if it was not a north Indian affair, it is sad that the level of hatred that exists between the rather generally idiotic populations of the two countries is belied by how much they have in common with each other. So, when a north Indian or Pakistani spews hatred I can figure that for him its just a need to find reasons to continue the Parampara laid down by politics. However, when I see a Cochin guy go on a tirade.. the idiot has never left Kerala and its Vada Pas and has little idea of North Indian culture and yet claims to know all about Pakistan and its people..I find it utterly ridiculous and hilarious... which is why I can always enjoy making such people bang their keyboards,whilst I sit in the house of an Indian..with a picture of Ganesh on the wall of my room.. and my prayer mat to its left.. as I leave now to take his car and drop his daughters off someplace and go do my work.

By your definition of obsession, Pakistanis are were recently obsessed with Taken-3.They are also obsessed with Q-Mobile, Samsung and Nokia.. along with McDonalds, KFC and Burger King.

did you even get the point. It's a virtual space providing TWO ways communication. If there is only one way like in case of bollywood no one will come. Go and see your talk shows, which see everything from the prism of India. Pakistanis are obsessed with their military which is just a symptom of their obsession for India.
