Kidnapped Sikh man beheaded in Pakistan's tribal belt

.
You believe it ?

May be its just a cover up.

And you believe The source Desperate Times of India shouldn't you and all question that first since they are well known for their News creation against Pakistan.

.
Minority violence is not the topic. This man was killed for being a spy for Lashkar-e-Islam, also a extremist terrorist organization. So this man was killed on charges of being a spy for another organization irrespective of religion.

Keep minority out of it if you don't want a infraction.

Not quite true he was accused of being a spy does not make him a spy that may of been a reason given.

He said his brother's killing was a "cruel act" against members of the minority Sikh community.

His brother has also asked the Pakistan Govt to provide protection to minorities so this so called spy business is just a cover story.

.
Mr Paswand said his family had lived in Kalanga Maira of Akkakhel in Bara tehsil for over 40 years before migrating to Peshawar three and a half years ago after Lashkar-i-Islam imposed jiziya, an Islamic tax on minorities, in Bara. He said his brother left behind two wives and eight children with one of his sons disabled by polio.

Why don't these people move to some bigger cities like Lahore and Karachi. At least they will be more safe comparing those tribal areas.

This appeared in Express Tribune. Minorities have always borne the brunt here. When the terrorism situation worsens and people are dying left right and center then their situation worsens. Muslims aren't safe, these guys are going to clearly become targets. In some of the agencies the Sikh population runs shops. The taliban have constantly been demanding extortion money from them.

Tariq Afridi has murdered sikhs before... he has done it again. These Taliban guys have to be finished off if there is to be any chance of peace here. I advise my Pakistani brothers not to deny things. It is often best to accept that a wrong has taken place and work to rectify it.

I would like to remind our people that we are the sons of Hazrat Jinnah who said this:

I have repeatedly made it clear, especially in my opening speech to the constituent Assembley, that the minorities in Pakistan would be treated as our citizens and will enjoy all the rights as any other community. Pakistan SHALL pursue this policy and do all it can to create a sense of security and confidence in the Non-Muslim minorities of Pakistan. We do not prescribe any school boy tests for their loyalty. We shall not say to any Hindu citizen of Pakistan ‘if there was war would you shoot a Hindu?’

And this:

The tenets of Islam enjoin on every Musalman to give protection to his neighbours and to the Minorities regardless of caste and creed. We must make it a matter of our honor and prestige to create sense of security amongst them.

Do not let the minorities feel weak and lonely. They are heroes who stayed on hoping against all hope we would protect them. We cannot fail in this responsibility.

Why don't these people move to some bigger cities like Lahore and Karachi. At least they will be more safe comparing those tribal areas.

It is the situation. Many have moved to Peshawar but moving is not easy. For generations the Sikh families of Kurram and Orakzai have had businesses in the region, ancestral houses, everything and have been living in peace with the local communities for years. The Sikhs are seen as a community that is better off in these regions and have shops. They are an enterprising community.

It isn't easy for a person to just leave his ancestral place. You can think of it as this. Our ancestral home in Lucknow fully supported the Muslim League and identified with the cause of forming Pakistan. You might ask why still almost half our khandaan still stays there. Simple answer... it was too difficult to move. They couldn't move that was the reason and they kept waiting for an opportunity but none came. The ones who did move were too busy making a position for themselves as they had to start from scratch so basically the expectation that these people would move them didn't materialize either. For some reason Ayub Khan closed the border too which made it harder.

So moving is never easy. Even within your own country. And think of it as this. In current times everyone is moving from Orakzai and Kurram. Population has decreased on account of militancy. Now because of that it means there are less people to buy the goods from these shops anyway so business is down and a lot of people are leaving. The issue arises however when a Sikh family plans to sell their business and ancestral home... simple issue. Everyone is leaving and no one wants to buy it.

What can be done now? Someone has to stay to guard the ancestral house and the shop, even if it is unoperational... so a few Sikhs have to stay. Our elder generations have all gone through it once in Lucknow. I wish as hell these countrymen of ours didn't have to go through it... even to go from the tribal areas to Peshawar.

ISLAMABAD: A militant group in Pakistan's lawless tribal belt beheaded a Sikh man kidnapped over a month ago after accusing him of acting as a "spy" for a rival outfit, media reports said today.

Mohinder Singh, 40, was kidnapped from his shop in Tabbai village of Khyber Agency by unidentified armed men on November 20. Singh was a seller of herbal medicines, a trade that is common among Sikhs in northwest Pakistan.

Singh was beheaded yesterday and his body was mutilated before it was packed in a sack and dumped at Zakhakhel Bazaar in Khyber Agency, unnamed officials were quoted as saying by the Dawn newspaper.

The officials said Tawheedul Islam, a militant group, had claimed responsibility for killing Singh.

A note left with the body said Singh had been killed for spying for a rival militant group, the Lashkar-e-Islam. The body was identified by the slain man's brother Daswant Singh.

He said his brother's killing was a "cruel act" against members of the minority Sikh community.

"We have no enmity with anyone and have lived peacefully in Khyber Agency for more than six decades," he said.

Daswant told The News daily that his family had earlier approached the Tauheedul Islam, a pro-government militia of Zakhakhel tribesmen, but it had claimed it did not know the whereabouts of Singh.

"After we tried and used all tribal channels and sources for the recovery of my brother, we sent an application to Mutahir Zeb, Political Agent of the Khyber Agency, on December 13 to seek his support," Daswant said.

The official had reportedly assured the family that Singh would be recovered within a week, he said.

Daswant said his brother was diabetic and had been survived by his wife and nine children, including a polio-affected son. He demanded that the government should protect minorities and pay compensation to the family.

Kidnapped Sikh man beheaded in Pakistan's tribal belt - The Times of India

If the singh guy was not a spy but an ordinary citizen than killing him is really a shameful act by who soever was behind that ...and even if he was spy then there is a formal way of proceedings without which nobody is allowed to kill anyone...

Those people who killed him and he was innocent then the killers are sick mentally ....condolence to the family of innocent (if it was the case)

. . .
How can you be so sure that they were terrorists ? :woot:
