Khyber Pukhtunkhwa to become a model province (2013-2018)

Do you really think this will happen, realistically speaking?

Yes...

Even in the federal government, we won't be seeing scandals like Hajj corruption, NICL, LPG, CNG, license quota, NHA etc.

Only PPP could manage to do stuff like that!

Pehlay kenu vi pata nhn lagda si, hun sab samnay ajanda aye.

Nawaz Sharif has learned that never mess with the media, so I doubt they'll do anything like that, same with KPK.

ONly time will tell though.

and how has MQM even remotely related to phyber pukhtunkhwa, dont go off topic

And how is the Taliban related to PTI and KP government? Don't make bad connections and we will refrain from pointing out how you support a terrorist organization.

Do you really think this will happen, realistically speaking?

No guarantees obviously.

Our society is so corrupt that PTI will be truly tested.

and if it succeeds even 5 times out of 10, people will respect it.

In Pakistan, it is perception that counts most, as many of us do not study the topic at hand.

If PTI can maintain its perception to be a corruption free party, our country in general and KP in particular can change in 5 years.

There are many examples where Pakistanis have changed for the better and in relatively short time.

so let's hope PTI can deliver.

Time will prove that PTI & IMRAN khan lacks realistic vissions?
KPK wasnt been messed up croupted story of the year in pakistan,s political history, & still its far better thn fedrl , punjab, or sindh?
KpK,s no 1 problem isnt the existing crouption in there, its law & oder? Which wasnt the result of any miss managment by the past govts?
From MMA to ANP its only the growing insurgency? Which was the product of a missguided mindset , in which Its been declared as the basic. Pillar that Every muslim must fight against the occupation of Afghanistan & should support legally or even illegally the strict style of implementation of Shariha in its purest form?
In todays KpK expectations from PTì govt arent are much about of the cleaning of the crouption or the development of the province, its More about PTI,s support to the voilent version of talbani Islam & win of talibans at the adminstrative Level just like sawat?
Without clearing the massive , taliban ghost from KpK PTI,s all dreamland talking is just raw dreams, just like. Its peoples tusunami which never came on 11th may?

Wouldnt be the same insane, cries of shooting down the dam drones or stopping the nato supllies through FATA? Wasnt thats the modest we can go, with PTI on the subject of Development of KpK?

We still might - not on the same scale but halki phulki chorian hongi... But hopefully pakri jayengi and you'll see heads roll.

It won't be the same where Rental Raja gets rewarded for his corruption by being made the PM.

Home is where the documents say: Afghan refugees repatriation deadline likely to get further extension
Tuesday June 4, 2013

PESHAWAR: The Government of Pakistan (GoP) is likely to extend the deadline for the repatriation of Afghan refugees to December 31, 2013, The Express Tribune has learnt.

Around 1.6 million registered and 0.6 million unregistered Afghan refugees are currently living in Pakistan. Approximately 60% of the refugees are living in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Of these, 80% live in camps whereas the rest live in rented houses.

Officials of the K-P Home and Tribal Affairs Department said the repatriation deadline was expected to be extended as the matter was under discussion at relevant quarters. December 31, 2012 was the initial deadline set by the GoP. This was later extended to June 30 by former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf following the Pakistan, Afghanistan and UN Refugee Agency tripartite agreement regarding Afghan refugees.

“Yes the deadline for their (Afghan refugees) repatriation is still June 30, but correspondence with the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) is underway and it is expected the deadline will be extended to December 31, 2013,” said an official of the home department while requesting anonymity.

The official explained a strategy – yet to be given final shape – was being devised to give some Afghans living in Pakistan refugee status. The qualification of those eligible for the said status is just one of the aspects of the policy under discussion.

“There will also be debate on whether those seeking asylum can be given refugee status,” added the official. However, the policy is yet to be finalised or approved, he added.

Home department officials said more than 35 camps had been set up for refugees. But unlike in other countries, Afghan refugees can live in or outside the camps.

Officials of the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) told The Express Tribune a large number of families had migrated voluntarily to Afghanistan from different parts of K-P. Despite the security situation in Afghanistan, people are still willing to leave for their native areas, noted a CAR official. “We do not force them to leave but a number of families have willingly left for their respective areas.”

On December 1, 2012, the government started grouping Afghan refugees. Moreover, a letter was sent to the Nowshera district management to immediately set up a refugee camp for all those refugees residing outside K-P, specifically in Punjab and Sindh. A senior CAR official confirmed the move was a step to group scattered Afghan families together so it would be easier for authorities to document and repatriate them.

Since they are Muslims, I believe there should be a law in Muslim Pakistan that grants the refugees Pakistani citizenship if they so wish to desire.

These are millions of our own mothers, sisters, daughters, our fathers, sons and brothers languishing in those refugee camps since the 1980s or probably even earlier, Allahu Alam.

What if Allah Almighty tests Muslim Pakistan like this one day, how many of us would want to see our loved ones to be in that situation? Allah Knows Best what goes through the hearts and the minds of the refugees. May Allah Almighty bless them with Salvation. Amin.

This will not work time to move forward we have many local poor Pakistanis to take care of let coalition and the world takes care of those afghan refugees in a better way. What would they do if they get Pakistani Citizenship they remain poor and a burden on Pakistan unless they are highly skilled people which they aren't.

Pakistan is already a Test since 1980 when we were thrown into soviet-afghan war deliberately.
