What's new

khilafah is now a global call.

if there were a khilafah neither us,nor russia, india, israel would have dared to kill any muslim. caliph is one person but he knows that many nations are with him and never in the history any caliph ignored such killings.
Not every one could be a caliph.it will create infighting within muslims so according to sunni muslims a person should be from quraish tribe. shia muslims think that he should also be from ahle bayt with in quraish. he could be anyone a pakistani, irani, bangladeshi.
one interesting example is that one abbasid kaliph was born in a city close to roman border. when he became caliph roman attacked the city and destroyed it. they killed everyone there. the caliph swore that he would also destroy the birth place of roman king which was in the middle of roman empire. the romans when the learnt of it they knew it would happen so they prepared their defences.
muslim armies entered deep into rome and finally captured the city with in an year. every citizen was allowed to go to safety and then ever building was ordered to be destroyed.
the roman king apologized and the area conquered by muslim army was given back to him after an apology.

Democracy is the only way. Be it a way for Islam or Secularism in BD. People will choose.

What kind of democracy that is the question. Even North Korea claims that it has democracy. In a true democracy thugs of the ruling party do not enjoy police assistance while murdering opposition party members.

one umuslim ummah, one land, one constitution( Quran), One capilh under one flag.

One land? How is that possible? arent they separated by other countries in the middle!

Do u think caliph is a an individual guy name? 1400 centuries more then half of the world lived under khilafah state and one caliph. Read the sura al-nur, ayat no-55. :)

You can not find a caliph who every side of Islamic branches agree on. So, choosing him even may cause fights. Get back to the real world.

Caliph, also spelled calif, Arabic khalīfah (“successor”), ruler of the Muslim community. When the Prophet Muhammad died (June 8, 632 ce), Abū Bakr succeeded to his political and administrative functions as khalīfah rasūl Allāh, “successor of the Messenger of God,” but it was probably under ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, the second caliph, that the termcaliph came into use as a title of the civil and religious head of the Muslim state. In the same sense, the term was employed in the Qurʾān in reference both to Adam and to David as the vice-regents of God.

"Khilafah is the political system in Islam. It is responsible for implementing the Islamic system (be it social, economic, educational, foreign policy,...) and maintaining its implementation. It is also responsible for spreading the message of Islam to the world. Khilafah is the Islamic state which the Prophet (pbuh) sought to create and worked for in MAkkah, for a period of thirteen years, until he (pbuh) established it Medina.

The establishment of Khilafah is an Islamic duty. There is a consensus between Muslim scholars about this issue as Al-Qurtubi said in his Tafseer. There are several scholars from different schools of thoughts in Islam that all say it is Fard. Establishing the Khilafah is Fard Kifayah (collective duty) upon Muslims, however all of them are in sin if they do not fulfill this duty."
-The Khilafah Series

The name Khilafah comes from the Arabic word "Khaleefah", which means the successor. The name "Khaleefah" is the title given to those Islamic leaders who came as successors to prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Another name for the Khaleefah is Ameer-ul-Mo'mineen, which means "leader of the faithful".

According to Biblical history, the ancient Kingdom of Israel was ruled over by a succession of Kings. After wandering in the desert for an undetermined length of time, the Children of Israel (Israelites) entered the Promised Land and split into two distinct kingdoms. King David managed to unite the two Kingdoms, while his son Solomon led the children of Israel into a period of prosperity and peace known as the Golden Age. For many readers, it may come as a surprise to learn that Islamic history also contains stories of kings, Saul, David, and Solomon. Muslims believe that David and Solomon are Prophets and as such, they are required to believe in, and love and respect them as part of the creed of Islam. David is one of the few Islamic prophets who received kingship as well.

Prophet David’s Miraculous Qualities
At the time of fighting Goliath, David was not yet a Prophet, but after the deaths of King Saul and Prophet Samuel, he was endowed with both a kingdom and prophethood. God gave David the wisdom and the knowledge necessary to lead an empire and more importantly to lead his people, the Children of Israel, on the straight path, worshipping One God. God empowered all of His Prophets with attributes indicating their prophethood and Prophet David was given miracles and unique qualities. David was given a beautiful voice. It is said that when he recited from the book of Psalms, (known in Islam as the Zaboor) the creation around David glorified God along with him. One of the unique things about Prophet David was that he understood the language of the animals and the birds.
“Verily, We made the mountains to glorify Our Praises with him (David) in the afternoonand morninghttp://.... And (so did) the birds assembled: all with him (David) did turn to God and glorify His Praises.” (Quran 38:18-19)
Prophet David was also given another miracle. Iron would become soft in his hands; He could mould it to whatever shape he desired. Humans of that time had iron but the process of using it and softening it was very difficult. God taught David a new way of making shields and body armour. Before David’s invention of linking iron together in the form of small rings, the soldiers had to wear heavy iron sheets that restricted their movements.
“And We taught him (David) the making of metal coats of mail (for battle), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful?” (Quran 21:80)
David was known for his piety and devotion to worshipping One God, and he fasted every other day. Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, is said to have told his companions that,

kingship doesn't mean khilafah.

What is the Khilafah (Caliphate)?

The Khilafah (Caliphate) is a general leadership over all Muslims in the world. Its responsibility is to implement the laws of the Islam system and convey the Islamic Message to the rest of the world. The Khilafah is also called the Imama as both words have been narrated in many sahih ahadith with the same meaning.

The Khilafah ruling system bears no resemblance to any of the governments in the Muslim world today. Although many commentators and historians have tried to interpret the Khilafah within existing political frameworks, it is in fact a unique political system.

The Khaleefah (Caliph) is the head of state in the Khilafah. He is not a king or dictator but an elected leader whose authority to rule must be given willingly by the Muslims through a special ruling contact called baya. Without this baya he cannot be the head of state. This is completely opposite to a king or dictator who imposes his authority through coercion and force. The tyrant kings and dictators in the Muslim world are ample examples of this, imprisoning and torturing the Muslims and stealing their wealth and resources.

This contract of baya stipulates that the Khaleefah must be just and rule the people by sharia. He is not sovereign and cannot legislate laws from his own mind that suit his personal and family interests. Any legislation he wishes to pass must be derived from the Islamic legal sources through a precise and detailed methodology called ijtihad. If the Khaleefah legislates any law contrary to this or commits oppression against his people, the highest and most powerful court in the State – the Unjust Acts Court (mahkamat mazalim) can impeach the Khaleefah and order his removal from office.

The Khaleefah has been likened by some to a Pope, who is the Spiritual Head of all Muslims, infallible and appointed by God. This is not the case as the Khaleefah is not a priest. His post is an executive post within the Islamic government. He is not infallible and can make mistakes, which is why many checks and balances exist within the Islamic system to ensure he and his government remain accountable.

The Khaleefah is not appointed by Allah rather he is elected by the Muslims and assumes authority through the contract of baya. The Khilafah is not a theocracy. Its legislation is not restricted to religious and moral codes that neglect the problems of society. Shari’ah is a comprehensive system that legislates on political, social, economic, foreign policy and judicial matters. Economic progress, elimination of poverty and enhancing the people’s standard of living are all goals the Khilafah will aim to achieve. This is completely opposite to the backward, medieval theocracies founded in Europe during the middle ages where the poor were forced to work and live in squalid conditions in return for the promise of heaven. Historically the Khilafah was an immensely wealthy state with a flourishing economy, high standard of living and a world leader in industry and scientific research for centuries.

The Khilafah is not an empire that favours some lands above others. Nationalism and racism have no place in Islam and are totally prohibited. The Khaleefah can be from any race or colour, and from any school of thought (mazahib) as long as he is Muslim. The Khilafah is an expansionist state but does not conquer new lands in order to steal their wealth and resources. Rather its foreign policy is to convey the Islamic message alone.

The Khilafah bears no resemblance to the republican system that is widespread in the Muslim world today. The republican system is based on democracy where sovereignty is given to the people. This means they have the right to legislate laws and a constitution. Sovereignty in Islam is to the sharia. No one in the Khilafah including the Khaleefah can legislate laws from their own minds.

The Khilafah is not a totalitarian state. It cannot spy on its Muslim or non-Muslim citizens. Everyone in the Khilafah has the right to express his or her opposition to policies of the state without fear of arrest or imprisonment. Torture and imprisonment without trial is completely forbidden.

The Khilafah does not oppress its non-Muslim minorities. Non-Muslims (dhimmi) are protected by the state and not forced to leave their religions and adopt Islamic values. Rather non-Muslim citizens are protected and their homes, properties and lives cannot be violated. Imam Qarafi, a Classical Scholar summed up the responsibility of the Khilafah to the dhimmi when he said: “It is the responsibility of the Muslims to the People of the Dhimma to care for their weak, fulfil the needs of the poor, feed the hungry, provide clothes, address them politely, and even tolerate their harm even if it was from a neighbour, even though the Muslim would have an upper hand (by the fact that It is an Islamic state). The Muslims must also advise them sincerely on their affairs and protect them against anyone who tries to hurt them or their family, steal their wealth, or violates their rights.”

Women in the Khilafah are not regarded as inferior or second class citizens. Islam gave women the right to wealth, property rights, rights over marriage and divorce as well as a place in society. Islam established a public dress code for women – the Khimar and Jilbab in order to establish a productive society free from the type of negative and harmful relationships prevalent in the west.

Establishing the Khilafah and appointing a Khaleefah is obligatory on all Muslims in the world, male and female. Performing this duty (fard) is the same as performing any other duty which Allah has ordered us, where no complacency is allowed. Indeed the Khilafah is a vital issue for the Muslims.

The future Khilafah will undoubtedly usher in a new era of peace, stability and prosperity for the Muslim world and beyond, ending years of oppression by some of the worst tyrants this world has ever seen. The days of colonialism and exploitation of the Muslim world will finally come to an end, and the Khilafah will utilise all resources at its disposal to further the interests of Islam and Muslims as well as establish an alternative for the people of the world to the Capitalist system.

I know what the conventional meaning is. Eg. Conventionally Islam started at with the Last Prophet (peace be upon him). However as an organised religion it was with Abraham (peace be upon him) and individually with Adam (peace be upon him).
So Khilafah started a long time ago. It's models may have been different but it was Khilafah nonetheless. Read Imran Hose in for more info.

dear brother. khilafah is not a thought, it is a state policy . Adam (peace be upon him) had a tribe as like as Abraham (peace be upon him). khilafah has a stretcher . what i have already given to u . Adam(Pbuh) was just a prophet for that tribe of people Khilafah means u will increase ur country will full military power, economical power. and so on. That is how we muslims lived under khilafah more the 1400 centuries. Those Phophets(Pbuh) didn't do hijrat. Hijrat also was a part of khilafah. What our Prophet (Pbuh) did . And khilafah model is stable. it never changed.

According to the ICG from 1953 to 2016 HT has no violence report. In pakistan it has stay order. Why ur saying insha"Allah . Hope u dn't know about HT. That is why insha"Allah is for u only. In midd east all political parties are banned. why ur not talking about UK and USA or Australia? Give me a prove Hiz but tahrir is a terrorist org. or they do viaolance. REad ICG report, according to ICG report pentagon makes their international policy .

after 1924 u found democracy before that u were under khilafah state.
Hizb is a terror org. They planned a bloody coup inside Pak army for their yazeedi aspirations and Rats were taken into custody before they could establish their utopia.

For the Khilafat Rashida it ended with the Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hassan R.A ------- Wait for the Mahdi to come reestablish It Period! Meanwhile do Dawah .
Now anyone who wants to create a sultanate or sheikhdom in the disguise of Khilafa is a downright hypocrite.

Edit : @Major d1 I was wondering that will Pakistani Muslims be spared from the wrath of khalifa for chanting YA ALI in their religious congregations and for declaring yazeed and co. Layeen ? Besides can any ajmi sunni/shia become a khalifa?

@Major d1

The existence of a Khilafah is absolutely necessary in relation to three important matters in Islam. First, the obligation of the implementation of Islamic Shari'ah in kaffah (fullness) which is the consequence of a Muslim's iman. It is impossible for it to become a reality without the existence of the Khilafah. Because, only the system of Khilafah has a clear pillar, namely sovereignty in the hands of sharia' (Islamic) law.

You think of Sharia Law as in just the judicial punishments, those are not needed anymore. And I could more into detail. Other aspects of Islamic Law are already implemented in some Muslim nations, with combination of secular law. Not having a Caliphate is not result of low imaan among Muslims. As I've said, there have been many in the past, nothing was holy or special about them. It did not increase peoples imaan, nor did it bring prosperity. That all has to do with mindset.

First Muslims need to change mindset, value education, logic and reason, build foundations for this union you want. Give women rights, be fair to minorities, make people appreciate your values. Right now that is not the case. Calling for Caliphate does not make one have more imaan than other, today Muslims are giving praise to each other and giving each other title of 'mumin', when they did not receive this from God, they only expect it from people. And they are majority.

You're never going to have Caliphate before the Mahdi, because the Mahdi will go through same tribulations that the Prophet's went through. It says in Hadith he doesn't wear the fitnah nor does the fitnah wear him, and by fitnah doesn't mean violence. It means cultural, moral fitnah, and no other Muslim at his time will have avoided this major fitnah as much as he did. And he will not be noticed by anybody, because he is not looking for praise from anybody. His personal life will be very hard, and that is part of his tribulation to prepare him for leadership, as this man will not be corrupted as a leader, there is no wrong in his judgements or governance, as hadith say. So that's only thing that differentiates him. It's so simple, yet we Muslims can't recognize good from bad.

So there is no Caliphate before him, because God doesn't like us. It will only happen because it is hikmah of the Lord, and only because that man is going to be very patient in his personal life, and will be doing Jihad nafs like no other. And Caliphate will be requested by the people, he will not forcibly implement it, he will just make people know what a true believer is, and much of the Western men will like him a lot, because he is unique leader. And unique doesn't mean he will be boastful and start threatening conquests or praise himself like we see with likes of Baghdadi, etc.... He will actually run away when people force him to accept the role in Mecca and he will hate it.

before 1924 there was no boundary in muslim lands. see the global map u will see all muslim conjtries are linked up with each other . Britain and french and west made the boundary. muslims liived under one land for 1400 centuries.

it Depends who is khalif. when caliph will be selected then all muslim countries will be get together again as well as they united in the previous time.

That is a real misunderstanding of history, a rose tinted view. The Islamic empire (Caliphate) covered a massive space but that does not mean it was united.

There was constant struggle, leaders and tribes changed all the time and several internal battles were fought. The ottomans for example, battled the timurids, mamluks, safavids, dulkadirids. They fought the Egyptians and the morrocans in the later period. The mughal wars of succession - often between brothers - is well documented.

Why do you think it will be different now?

Do u know the definition of terrorism? Give a proof that they are a terrorist organization. They did coup according to the method of Prophet (Pbuh) method, it is not terrorizing means. bcz this is only one way to take over power from the terrorist democratic govt. to the khilafah. HAve u any concept how 1st khilafah came in madia? via Army of Madia. They gave nusrah to our Prophet (Pbuh). And khilafah state establish. Any political party can do coup attempt. Now the question is that will be succeed or not it depends on the position and time. They are doing political struggle for taking power from the democratic govt. it doesn't mean they are terrorist org. How many innocent killed in pakistan by the name of democracy so why u don't tell democracy is a terrorist govt. system?

Khilafah -e -rasida didn't ended with the Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hassan R.A. u dnt know the history . it destroyed in 1924. yes many things happened in these 1400 centuries but that was in the upere level. People was under the constitution of khilafah constitution. Read the history properly.

Mahadi will come so would u give up ur prayer? Imama mahdi will come with an another agenda, he will come under khilafah state , when one khalif will die then when people will search for 2nd khaliph, then imam mahdi will revived. U may see it in hadit. so read that. don't hear what ppl says to u. justify what is true.

Shia-sunni conflict arised when? i know that , that was a conspiracy for dividing muslims, till now what is happing in the world. U have Prophet(Pbuh) concept and khilafah-e-rasida theory apply that. west alys want to kill muslims by muslims. shia sunni they follow one quran , one rasul, they pray so, those who talk about shia- sunni matter that is out of syllabus. yes, every muslim can be a caliph if the person has the the quality.

It has today become an indisputable reality that this Ummah yearns for the return of the Islamic Khilafah. She has witnessed much that solidifies this desire. Today, we find that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has brought back the desire in the hearts of the Muslims and this Ummah to return to the rule of Islam. Amongst them are those who are willing to dedicate their time and effort for the service of Islam. This article seeks to explain how such people can work for Islam and work for its noble aims.

Knowledge before action

Hazzam bin Hakeem narrated from his uncle from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم who said:

“You are in a time of many jurisprudents (fuqaha), few speakers/lecturers, many who give and few who ask; so action in this time is better than knowledge. There will soon come a time of few jurisprudents, many speakers, many who beg and few who give; so knowledge in this time is better than action.”

This noble advice by the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم builds the principle that Islam has always placed knowledge before action. It is saddening to see that amongst some workers for Islam, action comes before knowledge. This is highly dangerous, since we saw at the beginning of the last century a plethora of patriotic movements rising up against the colonialist occupation only to find that when the colonialists left they implemented the same secular models in their lands. Also we find today, under the banner of Islam, some Muslim governments conducting “experiments” for Islamisation, even though the Qur’an and Sunnah showed in detail the Islamic system, and this has been explained in many volumes of books.

Islam has placed knowledge and thinking as a precondition for action, and this ensures that the action undertaken is the correct action and that the action is according to Islam and is the correct action to achieve the aim. But the question may be asked – what type of knowledge is required? Here are a few areas that anyone working for Islam should seek to understand:

i. To gain an understanding of Islam and its basic concepts. These concepts need to start with the Aqa’id (belief) because this is the basis of all correct actions. A Muslim must be convinced of his basis, because under all strong structures lay a strong, solid foundation. We have witnessed, with great sadness, excellent people with much energy working for the goals of Islam one day and then leaving this work the other because their foundations were weak and all they had was zeal and desire rather than sound knowledge.

ii. To understand the Shari’ah rules. Islam has made it an obligation for a Muslim to understand the Hukm Shari’ concerning his actions. So a Muslim must be aware of his obligations. It is incorrect for a Muslim to work for Islam, yet fall short of abiding by the rules of Islam in his personal life. Again we witness with sadness many who openly call out against ‘Western culture’ yet in their own lives are engrossed with its films and music, soaps and trivialities the same West gives them. In understanding the Shari’ah rules, one must make sure he or she does not limit themselves to just a specific area which they are inclined to. Rather Islam needs to be taken completely.

iii. To understand the main points of Kufr. This area is unobvious to many. The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم used to know the thoughts of the Quraish so that he could speak out against them. Also Allah سبحانه وتعالى encouraged this, so in the Qur’an He سبحانه وتعالى points out on many occasions the contradictions that existed with the Mushrikeen. Today the Muslim needs to be aware of the dominant ideology, capitalism, its components and its contradiction with Islam. Again this knowledge requires more than just a superficial understanding such that the call of Islam becomes a general unconvincing call. When Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,

“Say ‘This is my way: I call to Allah with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me. And Glorified and Exalted is Allah. And I am not of the Mushrikeen.” [Yusuf: 108]

He سبحانه وتعالى commands the knowledge to be precise. Today we need to understand globalisation, democracy, freedom, interfaith dialogue, and secularism amongst many other ideas that are invalid and cannot be adopted by the Muslims.

iv. Knowledge of the correct Islamic work. If a Muslim were to study Islam correctly he would find that Islam has placed the authority as the most essential organ to safeguard the rules of Islam and the Muslims. This necessitates that in the absence of this authority work is required to bring it back. The Khilafah is the only correct structure Islam has laid down, the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “after me there will be no Prophet, but there will be Khulafah and they will number many”. So the correct Islamic work is to call for the Khilafah. That means to work to bring back its return. This work by definition is a political work, and thus requires an aware Islamic political party.

Apart from what has been mentioned above, a Muslim must seek knowledge continuously and must always strive to excel in his or her understanding.

Carrying Da’wa

If a Muslim was to engage in gaining knowledge he would realise quickly that knowledge without action is like a donkey with books on its back. This knowledge would be of no use to the people no matter how much he gained and how much of a faqih he became. Islam has said that the most essential component in carrying Islam and bringing back the Khilafah is to carry Da’wa. That is to invite people.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,

ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ

“Invite to the way of your Lord…” [An-Nahl: 125]

Also Islam has mandated that Da’wa should be carried immediately after knowledge. Never in the history of Islam has a Da’wa carrier stayed at home after being affected by Islam. The stories of the Sahabah (ra) are all an evidence for this. Also the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Convey from me even if it is one ayah”.

The following needs to be kept in mind when carrying Da’wa.

i. Da’wa should be a focused work. The Muslims need to be told in a clear, unambiguous way that the many problems we see are due to the absence of the Khilafah and that Islam demands the Da’wa carrier to discuss this issue. Muslims must expose the plans of the West in our lands, their agents in the form of our leaders and all that stems from their corrupt ideology that distances the Muslims from uniting once again under this strong leadership such as the erroneous concepts of nationalism, pragmatism, gradualism and the like.

ii. A Muslim should not talk about what he does not know. The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم always sought revelation from Allah سبحانه وتعالى before he spoke a word. This forms a general rule that one cannot speak out of ignorance.

iii. Da’wa should be carried purely for the pleasure or Allah سبحانه وتعالى. A Da’wa carrier must not seek benefit or position from carrying Da’wa. Rather he must do this purely for the sake of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. This principle, that is to carry Da’wa for the pleasure of Allah سبحانه وتعالى if understood, will ensure the Da’wa carrier does not stray from his path and change his argument to suit the people.

iv. When carrying Da’wa nothing should interfere with the correct idea and the conveyance of it. The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was the best example, and he conveyed this message without allowing egoism or personality into the discussion.

v. The call should be carried without compromise. It is not permissible to change the message in order to please the people or to win a temporary supporter. Rather this call needs to be frank, carried with wisdom, that is using the best of styles but conveying the haq (truth) completely. Furthermore the ideas that are carried must not be reconciled with the Western ideology and its standards. It must rather be derived purely from Islam.

vi. The carrier of the Da’wa must be ready to face the trials and tribulations that those who oppose it will place in his or her path. The only way to prepare for this is to have the clear knowledge of the key Islamic ideas such as al Qadaa wal Qadr, or Rizq (sustenance) being from Allah سبحانه وتعالى, or Al-Tawakkul (reliance on Allah [swt]) amongst other ideas. Also they must equip themselves with the knowledge of the previous Prophets (as) and their companions and how they bore hardships and finally they must be close to the Qur’an as there is not any other book but this that has the ability to motivate, inspire and energise.

Working with an Islamic Party

Allah سبحانه وتعالى has made carrying Da’wa Fard upon every Muslim. He سبحانه وتعالى has also obligated upon the community to establish at least one group to call to al-Khair, that is Islam, to enjoin al-Maroof (all that is good) and forbid al-Munkar (all that is evil).

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Qur’an,

“Let there arise from amongst you a band of people, who call to Al-Khair, enjoining al-maroof and forbidding al-munkar. And they are those who will gain success.” [Al-Imran: 104]

This ayah obligates the establishment of a group. If one was to study the nature of the task to re-establish the Khilafah one would find that for this work to be effective, there needs to be a collective effort. Furthermore the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم worked with the Sahabah (ra) as a group to change the Kufr society and transform it to an Islamic one.

There are some points to consider before choosing which group or groups are correct to ensure that the action undertaken is one with full awareness. As with all actions, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will account us for obedience to him and so to just choose any group would be impermissible, rather the one or ones that fulfils the obligation pointed out in this noble ayah must be considered. These are the points:

i. This group must call to Islam. Allah سبحانه وتعالى mentions in this ayah the word ‘Al Khair’, which is Islam. So if they were a nationalistic, democratic, capitalistic, socialist group etc… then they would not fulfil the command in this ayah. In fact joining groups who are based upon these foreign ideas or who call for such ideas would be sinful, as to call for these ideas and to gather around them is haram.

ii. This group must call to the vital issue, as defined by Islam. The vital issue today is the re-establishment of the Khilafah. It is the Khilafah that will implement Islam, and without it, it would be impossible for the society to adhere to all of the laws of Islam. By definition, calling for the Khilafah is a political work, as it involves changing the society to establish an authority and removing the present authorities based upon non-Islam. So this group must be a political group or party.

iii. It must have a clear method of affiliation. It has been observed that many groups are tarnished with infighting, strands, wings and the like. This is due to the members of these groups not having a unified aim and sets of ideas. Rather the people are often chosen because they show some sort of enthusiasm to do work regardless of them carrying the same ideas and aims.

iv. The group must have a ‘culturing process’. That is they must have a way of developing newcomers to the group as well as established members. This culturing must be taken seriously and all should need to go through it. This ensures they are built and developed with the Islamic culture, purifying their intentions and thoughts, building their concepts and strengthening their resolve. So the initial zeal and enthusiasm is transferred to a sound knowledge and consistent work. It is saddening to see the many who begin to work for Islam and then stop this work; this can generally be attributed to a lack of culturing with Islam in this group.

v. This group must be clear in its language, and bold in its actions – to enjoin the Maroof and forbid the Munkar requires from the Muslim to challenge all that is wrong and uphold all that is right.

vi. The group must study the reality clearly and comprehensively. Islam mandated that the reality in which the group works must be understood. This includes the study of the thoughts and ideas that exist in society as well as the plots and plans of the Kafiroon and her agent rulers in our lands. To just have a generalised understanding of the reality would not allow the people to understand the true nature of the problem we face.

vii. The group must not look down upon the Ummah nor abuse them for not working with them or not adhering to Islam. Rather it should seek to lift up their spirits, energise them, wake them from their slumber and bring about this change. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Whoever says the people are destroyed are the most destroyed of the people.” [Sahih Muslim].

viii. The group should have a strong atmosphere that gels the members together. This atmosphere must be a pure one and it should be based upon seeking the pleasure of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. We witness many groups that exist in the West that are run like a company, where the members have to continuously be forced to undertake actions. This is contrary to the way of Islam where the strength of the idea makes a person willingly want to sacrifice his time and effort. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم wrote in a letter to Abdullah Ibn Jahsh, when he sent him to lead an expedition to keep an eye on Quraysh at Nakhlah, between Makkah and Ta’if: “Do not coerce anyone of your companions to proceed with you, and go forth with my order with those who follow you.”

These three points; gaining knowledge, carrying da’wa and working with an Islamic Party would be the practical way to work for Khilafah. So after this, we would say join this work with the sincere ones who seek to achieve the highest place in Jannah. Strengthen your resolve, for the Ummah yearns for change, and this change requires work. May our deeds be multiplied in reward in the eyes of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and may we become the ones who will be the “beloved” to the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم!

The Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers.” It was asked, “Who are those strangers, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “Those that correct the people when they become corrupt.” This is the narration of at-Tabaraani in his al-Kabeer.

Why do you think it will be different now?

what do u mean by there were not united?

As i said many times in 1400 centuries many things happened, In 1924 Britain and french attack istanbul, bcz that time khilafah became weak. but see the 700 to 1800 centuries map of khilfah. ottoman khilafah was last golden age for muslims. but why many Providences became individual do u know that ? bcz of the map conspiracy of the west. This sub-continent was also under the part of khilafah. Mughals paid texs to the khaliph for ruling this sub-continent. as like they they were also bound to follow the command of khaliph.

HOW THE KHILAFAH WAS DESTROYED- READ --------

The 3rd of March is a painful day in political history of Muslim world. It was on this date in the fateful year of 1924 CE 28th Rajab 1342AH}, that the last vestige of legitimate Islamic rule was destroyed. The office of Caliphate was abolished by the treacherous Mustafa Kamal and the Muslim Ummah has since then been plunged in to darkness and humiliation. Ottoman Caliphate came to an end as the 101st Khaleefah of Islam, Abdul Mejid II was exiled from the now secular Republic of Turkey with just a suitcase and little amount of money.
Following is a historical account of colonial powers which led to the destruction of Muslim empire. After the siege of Vienna in 1529, Europe formed an alliance to stop the Caliphate and its expansion into the Europe. It was at this point the crusade animosity towards Islam and Caliphate was revived and plans were hatched to deal with this oriental problem as it became known. The crusaders realized that the cause of Muslims strength and resolve was the Islamic Aqeeda. As long as Muslims were strongly attached to Islam and the Quran, the Caliphate could never be destroyed. This is why at the end of the 16th century they established the first missionary centre in Malta and made it their headquarters for launching a missionary onslaught against the Muslim world. This was the beginning of Western culture entering the Muslim world by British, French and American missionaries. These missionaries worked under the guise of educational and scientific institutions. Initially their effect on the Muslims was minimal. But during the 18th and 19th centuries when decline had set in to the Caliphate, the missionaries managed to exploit weaknesses in the state and spread corrupted concepts to the people. In the 19th century Beirut became the centre for missionary activity. During this time the missionaries exploited civil strife between Christians and Druze and later Christians and Muslims, with Britain siding with the Druze and France siding with the Christian Maronites. The missionaries had two main objectives during this time. One was to separate the Arabs from the Uthmani state and second to alienate the Muslims from the bond of Islam.
In 1875 the Secret Association was formed in Beirut in an attempt to encourage Arab nationalism among the people. Through declarations and leaflets it called for the political independence of the Arabs, especially those in Syria and Lebanon. Those in charge repeatedly accused Turkey in their literature of snatching the Islamic Caliphate from the Arabs, violating the Islamic Shariah. The seeds of Arab nationalism which were sown by the long going Christian missionaries came to fruition in 1916 when Britain ordered its agent Sharif Hussein of Makkah to launch the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Caliphate. This revolt was successful in dividing the Arab lands from the Caliphate and placing them under British and French mandates. At the same time nationalism was being incited among the Turks. The Young Turks movement was established in 1889 on the basis of Turkish nationalism and achieved power in 1908 after ousting Khaleefah Abdul-Hameed II through a number of political maneuvers. The traitor Mustafa Kemal who went on to abolish the Caliphate was a member of the Young Turks. This is why Mustafa Kemal later said: Was it not because of the Caliphate, Islam and the clergy that the Turkish peasants fought and died for five centuries? It is high time Turkey looked after her own interests and ignored the Indians and the Arabs. Turkey should rid itself of leading the Muslims.
Alongside the missionary activities Britain and France alongwith Russia began to directly colonize many parts of the Muslim world. During the mid eighteenth century, in 1768 Catherine II of Russia fought the Caliphate and successfully occupied the lands of Southern Ukraine, Northern Caucasus, and Crimea which became incorporated in to the Russian Empire. France attacked Egypt and Britain set off to occupy India. In the 19th century France occupied North Africa and Britain occupied Egypt, Sudan and India. Gradually, the lands of the Caliphate were receding until the end of the 1st world war when all that was left was Turkey, which was occupied by allied troops under the command of a British general named Charles Harrington. On Nov 1917, head of the British Army said, ‘Today is the end of crusade wars’ just after capturing the Palestine. On the other hand when French general entered Damascus, he went to the tomb of Salahudin Ayyubi and yelled there, ’we have reached here and now if you salauddin, if you have courage, come on, drag us out’. Because it was the same Salauddin Ayyubi who had dragged these Western forces out of Muslim lands. In 1917, Belford declaration was passed for Palestine by the British government as Palestine came under British mandate. In 1918 The Western forces entered into Constantinople {Istanbul} the capital of Islamic empire. 22nd Nov 1922, Lausanne conference was organized by the British foreign Secretary Lord Curzon to discuss Turkey& its independence. Turkey at that time was under the occupation of the allied forces with the institution of the Caliphate existing in all but name. During this conference Lord Curzon stipulated four conditions prior to recognizing the independence of Turkey. These conditions were:
1. The total abolishment of the Caliphate
2. The expulsion of the Khaleefah beyond the borders
3. The confiscation of its assets
4. Declaration that Turkey become a secular state
This is how the 1342 years of Islamic institution of Caliphate came to an end. This was such an empire that the like of it was not found in Islamic history. The Ottomans were serving Islam for nearly 700 years and for 400 years Islamic institution of Caliphate was with them. Turks were defenders of dignity honour and prestige of Islamic empire. Enemy couldn’t even dare to raise an eyebrow over the Islamic world. But they are by now a long forgotten chapter of history.
