When it comes to India and Pakistan, both the countries know there is a lot of pressure and competition present. That is why in every case, may it be in sports, economy, infrastructure, or even beauty one country tends to compare itself with the other. Maybe that is why when a third person, especially a famous celebrity, takes sides, both the countries tend to notice. Therefore, when Kevin Pietersen casually spoke about Pakistan with Ravi Shastri in IPL’s commentary box, it was noticed by Pakistanis a lot.
It may or may not have went like we are imagining but, to picture Kevin Pietersen taking sides for Pakistan is a great deal of joy for most of us. While commenting about a match during the Indian Premier League, Kevin started speaking about Pakistan’s Pakistan Super League and how tough his game was in Sharjah against Quetta Gladiators. As he was talking about his win, he was interrupted by India’s former Test player Ravi Shastri who asked him to speak about Big Bash League instead. However, Kevin casually waved off his idea with a reply: “Nope Man! I recently played in PSL, I am gonna talk about that.”
Whether it was intentional from Ravi or not, Pakistani fans like how things turned in their favor and the PSL, when Kevin spoke about Pakistan’s biggest domestic cricket league during a match in IPL. Kevin may even have said all this unintentionally, not keeping in mind the rivalry between India and Pakistan.
Kevin Pietersen also tried to take a dig at MS Dhoni on Twitter. However, the original tweet got removed but the reply is still present on KP’s Twitter account.

Considering this behavior from Indians, I love it when they get humiliated...
