the report said the highest proportion of child population is in Malappuram district

Why? Because of Muslims who are majority there.

the lowest is in Pathanamthitta.

Because Muslims are least populated there of all the districts.

Go to any part of of the world, be it congo or be it Vietnam you will find a keralite. Our population density (that is if all the mallus returned home) would be much higher than many other states in India. Not so long back per sq.Km population density of kerala was highest in India, don't know which state is leading now.
