Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has made sensational allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of having accepted black money in the past.
Speaking during an emergency session of Delhi assembly, Kejriwal said, “This is for the first time in independent India that a prime minister’s name has cropped up in the list of black money.”
Kejriwal presented documents in the assembly to substantiate his claims adding that the income tax authorities had found a piece of papers during raids at Sahara Group in November 2014.
He said, “They found more than Rs 130 crore during the raid and also discovered a piece of paper from one room, which had Narendra Modi’s name.”
Kejriwal also alleged that, according to an appraisal report by tax authorities, one entry by Shubhendu Amitabh from Birla Group had mentioned Rs 25 crore against Gujarat CM’s name.
This, Kejriwal said, was after the income tax raids in October 2013, six months before the BJP formed government at the Centre.
Kejriwal vowed to reveal more papers, which, he said, will conclusively indict PM Modi in black money case.
His deputy Manish Sisodia said that what Kejriwal revealed today was originally meant for September. In September, the Kejriwal government had announced its intention to reveal what they said was ‘the biggest expose of independent India.’
They had to postpone their plan in view of tension at the LoC.
Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi assembly had witnessed ugly scenes as angry legislators continuously shouted Narendra Modi murdabad slogans during the special session, convened to discuss the fallout of demonetisation announcement.
A lot of AAP MLAs were seen shouting Narendra Modi hai hai and Narendra Modi murdabad slogans during the proceeding.
Delhi assembly has 67 AAP MLAs and three BJP legislators.
Alka Lamba slammed PM Modi for mocking Indian mothers.
She said, “I’ve found the mother our prime minister had talked about in Japan. She has denied that her son never deposited Rs 2.5 lakh in her account. She also wants Modi ji to take action against her son for depositing black money in her account.”
She also highlighted how BJP’s West Bengal unit had managed to deposit Rs 1 crore on the day Modi was to make the announcement on demonetisation.
