Keen to develop good ties with India but no compromise on sovereignty: Army Chief

Yes dreaming of allaying the anxieties of your aggrieved minorities.
A
Araz,
Glad to see your opinion first of all.
Second:
1-The ball in now in Indian court.
2-The Kashmir issue should be discussed with world, despite of Simla agreement. There lies an advantage for Pakistan to persist cold war, however upgrading the strategy within.
3-Pakistan needs to tackle Afghan issue as well. Our relationship with Afghans are not going well.Needs to raise detailed discussions regarding Indian nexus in Afghanistan as well as to encounter their 'terrorism with kashmir'
4-We must also provide list of overt and covert operations being done by Indians in the first place.
for example,Operation Rehbar,Operation seven sisters etc.
5-Needs to strengthen relations with Russia and needs to increase trade relations. This has connection with the equipment business which we can attain against TTP such as small choppers etc and at the same time pressurizing NATO and United states working in Afghanistan.

Regards

LONDON - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said that Pakistan wants better relations with India but no compromise would be made on dignity and sovereignty.

Speaking at a reception held for him at Pakistan High Commission in London on Wednesday, he said that Pakistan’s armed forces will root out the menace of terrorism from the country and will not leave operation Zarb-e-Azb incomplete. He said that Pakistan wishes to have improved ties with India including all other neighbouring countries but no compromise will be made on dignity and sovereignty.

Army chief stated that more than 10,000 intelligence operations were conducted in Pakistan in which terrorists and their accomplices were targeted. General Sharif said Pakistan has also made all out efforts to build and maintain friendly ties with its another neighbour Afghanistan. On the law and order situation, General Sharif pointed out that some time back there prevailed a sense of hopelessness across the country but “we restored peace in all parts of the country including Karachi”.

The army chief said there is a marked decline in the number of terrorist acts in the country, as earlier, around 250 such incidents occurred every month. He said, “we have played a significant role towards restoring stability in the country.”

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, Lord Nazir, MP Khalid Mehmood, Labour Party MP Gerald Kaufman and many other parliamentarians attended the reception given in the honour of the army chief.

Where is any issue with sovereignty?

.
Certainly! Point is, our MAIN beef has always been over Kashmir, which has opened new branches.... As such, I do not see very good times for the political/military relations b/w India and Pakistan....
