What's new

Kazakhstan switches to the Latin alphabet.

By this logic look what west archieved with latin alphabet. :disagree:

Well, the latin alphabet only brought anarchy and destruction in the west. It's time to develop a paralel alphabet,it's an emergency,it's for our survival.

Don't Turks have their own (non-Arabic) script?

The original article from Nursultan in Latin Kazakh:

Btw, the Newspaper Egemen is like the official paper of the Kazakh gov't. You can already switch to Latin if you're interested in news from Kazakhstan.

Explain why being in the UK affects the logic of my argument.

And no, you do talk 'poop'.

Yes, the alphabet is irrelevant. Interestingly Korea, Russia and China all have major corruption issues.
Bro even corruption has levels our corruption exceeded all the levels to the limit where we reached the state of despair!!!.

All the nations have some corruption but within the acceptable limit where the nation still prosper and achieve the best.

I support this move.

I had an easy time learning Turkish and Azerbaijani precisely because of the Latin alphabet.

Plus, since Kazakhstan wants to one day join the European Union, I think it makes sense for the Kazakhs to adopt Latin.

Good Westernization policy. :D

. .
It's a stated long-term goal of Kazakhstan. I'm not making it up.

Kazakhstan is technically a transcontinental country. Part of Kazakhstan is in Europe, which makes it eligible to join the Council of Europe.

Also, the Kazakh president announced a few months ago to implement democratizing reforms in his country. He wants to give more powers to the parliament and turn the country into a parliamentary republic.

Kazakhstan will one day join the Council of Europe and then apply for EU membership. You'll see these developments in the next 20 years. It's still too soon.

But the adoption of the Latin alphabet is one of many Westernizing policies being undertaken by Kazakhstan right now.

Either Europe is a wierd shaped continent or European Union chooses it's boundries according to their gains. They would include South Africa if it benefit them, i.e Cyprus is technically not part of Europe, it is a land piece that is disconnected from Iskenderun Bay area of Turkey which is bordering Adana and Hatay.
